If You Want to Feel Hated - this is your spot
Nov 16th, 2020
I have traveled to 78 countries. I have been in notoriously rude settings. This location takes the cake for attitude and pure nastiness. If you want to feel hated - likely due to deep seated animosities held by the staff toward people like me - this is your place. Modern America... First, this hotel is in a good spot for business purposes, not tourism. It is part of a mall complex and within a short drive to the airport. It is kind of clean (more on that in a moment) and the rooms are fine. I booked three rooms for a business meeting among partners. Donna, Gianna, and Wendy (the restaurant employees) were fantastic. They were accommodating, polite, and efficient. The team and I agreed, they were the highlights of the hotel. Too bad, whomever trained them, did not train the front house staff. Dahla (her name may be misspelled; worked the front desk on Friday, November 13th) could not habe shown more hatred toward me if she tried. I have never felt so unwelcome by someone at a front desk. I ignored that (thinking it was just a bad day for her), but the next day, different staff at the front desk had the same loathsome attitude. Maybe it was me - a polite businessman - but nope... my partners and their wives felt the same hatred. From towel requests to purchasing the occasional Diet Coke, you would have thought we were the enemy instead of guests at the hotel. Anyway, I would definitely not recommend this place - unless you happen to find yourself drunk at Dillard's and need a place to sleep. Re the cleanliness - note, they are not doing room service while you are a guest due to Covid fears, thus my comment on cleanliness. This would not be such a big deal if my colleagues and I did not have to endure that miserable front desk team to get more towels and hygiene products. There are too many better, alternative options in Myrtle Beach to consider. Please do. There is no reason to pay for such rude, unprofessional, and to be very honest, likely racially motivated mistreatment as that which my team and I just experienced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Clean and respectful of guest health

The lobby is very bright and staff are welcoming. The breakfast was done in a safe and efficient where you get the packaged cold items and hot items are served. Beds were comfortable, but as usual the heater/ac blows on you. Quiet and convenient location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here one night at the end of a family reunion beach trip. Staff went above and beyond to help us. Cindy checked us in and was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean, everything about our stay was great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
