Must Stay

Mar 22nd, 2020

The staff went above and beyond to be courteous and friendly. Ms. Ellen greeted us in such a welcoming warm and inviting manner. She had a very nice smile and was willing to take her time in helping us with the best possible reservation to meet our needs. She was also very helpful with locating dining places that were open in the immediate area. Ms. Abby checked us out and was extremely nice and thoughtful. Ms. Ellen and Ms. Abby are two wonderful examples of how every employee should treat there guest. We appreciate there help more than they will ever know. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly, clean, nice hotel overall

Mar 11th, 2020

We just happen to land at that hotel for my 4 day birthday getaway. Very hospitable staff. Inviting hotel lobby, room was very nice and clean. We were given complimentary breakfast which was very nice spread at breakfast bar. We also ordered omelets which are fantastic. All day there's complimentary coffee, tea. Very great location to just stay local and hit the bars and restaurants. It was off season in March so some things were closed but we drove out to do some shopping and go to old Orchard beach. They only have valet parking being $25/day which is only con for me. All in all, It was very enjoyable stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Staff. Great Location.

Mar 7th, 2020

The location really can't be beat if you want to stay downtown. It's right on the waterfront and you can walk to a bazillion restaurants, bars, and errr... stuff. There is a really nice bakery next door! It's also a pretty short walk to the Nickelodeon cinemas. The room was nice, with a microwave, fridge, no safe, bathtub, corded Internet as well as wifi, lots of space, foldout sofa bed, and the heating-cooling system worked. The staff was very helpful. Valet parking $25 per day. The internet machine in the lobby sucked hard; Google wouldn't let me login because it wasn't safe, but there was a printer. The bed was very confortable with lots of pillows. There is a little restaurant and bar a tiny pool, and a hot tub. The tv has an HDMI input. There is a walking-running trail if you exit the hotel, turn left on Commercial street, and follow the waterfront path for a few blocks. It's mostly paved but there are some dirt/gravel parts you can run on. It wasn't pretty in March but functional. There's a small gauge railway that looks like it still runs - probably in summer. Great views and great staff within walking distance to all

This hotel never disappoints. Whenever I’m in town for business it’s my first choice. It may be slightly older than other hotels but the staff is always great, the views are amazing and I can walk to wherever I need to go! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend in Old Port

Feb 27th, 2020

We had an excellent stay at The Hilton Garden Inn. It is in a great location in the Old Port. Walkable to all the restaurants and things to do. It is across the street from the ferries if in need of them. Very nice and accommodating staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
