Pops went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable! He was very professional yet personable and very knowledgeable about Savannah. He also had the best suit I’ve seen in decades! I 12/10 recommend Pops! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Christmas Holiday 2020 Stay

Hotel located in historic district. Conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Had King balcony room facing parking lot and liquor store. Frig and microwave adequate for cold/hot foods. Room clean enough. However, under sink has visible thick dirty grime in grouting. Drain holes in sink, absolutely filthy. Valet is a bit pricey $35/day. Note that if you want to retrieve an item from your car, Valet will give you the keys for you to go get item(s). The parking lot Valet uses to park car is not too far from hotel. The rationale I received from the front desk is...if Valet brings vehicle out of parking and not being driven out, creates traffic jam for incoming guests. I understand the rationale, for $35/nite convey that tidbit of info to the customer upfront. To me Valet parking means I get the car for any reason whether I am retrieving an item or I am driving vehicle off property. If a lady in heels, someone with health issue, I'm expected to go walk to retrieve my car? The Valet staff is very personable and professional. It is the parking policy that I take issue with, by no means the staff. One of the 2 elevators in hotel was out of service, causing very long lines. I stayed in hotel over very busy Christmas Holiday. When did elevator go down and when was Management made aware of? I am a Rewards member for both Hilton and Marriott hotels. Definitely going back to Marriott. I am sure I will recieve the standard answer of hoping I will return, to allow hotel another chance...no thanks. Last stay for me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

We’ve stayed at this location several times and another very nice visit. The location is perfect for walking right to the city market or down to the river. While paying $35 for valet isn’t my favorite it seems to be the going rate In town. As a diamond member I was looking forward to the breakfast but it wasn’t the most fresh..but glad they are offering a breakfast as many properties aren’t. Hotel seemed very safe and the room was very clean covid wise. Seemed like the front desk staff though wasn’t real happy to be there but they weren’t rude. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Had a great stay!

The hotel was clean and well located, just a short walk from the riverfront and a variety of restaurants in the tourist district. Our room was spacious, with a large desk and bed, and the motorized blackout curtains were great for blocking out the light when doing work during the day. The room had a nice bathtub as well, which was a welcome change from just having showers. The front desk was very accommodating when we needed to schedule room cleaners around our work schedules. Our valets, Corbin and Cameron, were both great and friendly - they helped us with our luggage and generally made parking much easier when entering and leaving the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bay Street is noisy!

My wife and I spent two weekend nights at this property in the historic district. The property is in a great location and the facility modern and comfortable with appropriate amenities. Unfortunately, there are no "self parking" spaces and the valet fee exorbitant. Upon arrival there were two staff at the front desk -- one very friendly while one was cold and almost rude. A little while after checking in I received a text welcoming me and asking if everything was acceptable in our room. In my text response I reported that one wall-mounted night stand was not level and that the table in the room was similarly damaged and unusable, also the windows of our second floor window were filthy. While none of these situations is unbearable and my intention was for them to deal with them at an appropriate time, their response was, "Thank you...I will be sure to share this with our General Manager." I'm sure this was an auto reply. Very disappointing. All this to say that it is a great location, but be prepared to pay a lot for parking and to have to potentially deal with grumpy staff. Remember, try to get a room that faces AWAY from Bay Street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
