My family and i. Rented 2 rooms. Friday 18 and checked out sunday sep 20th. The rooms were clean cozy. Anthony at the reception desk. Was phenomenal. Attentive. Helpful ,friendly and polite. It only a 10 or 15 minute drive to virginia beach. Free parking across the street. The only con i would have is the pillows where thin and uncomfortable TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great location, mediocre service.

I often look at trip advisor to see how service was and how well they treated their honors members. Since if I'm going to be loyal to Hilton, I may as well stay at one that seems to appreciate they're honors members. When I checked in, I wasn't recognized for my status as a diamond member. I was just told they couldn't upgrade me despite there being 4 different room upgraded room types available for me to purchase online, which is their choice. I heard them turning a couple of other people down, saying they hoped to fill the rooms, though at the end of the night, there were still 3 room type upgrades available online. They didn't explain breakfast/that there was no breakfast until I showed up for breakfast, or anything else. I just gave me my key and water and said my room number and where the elevator was. As far as the hotel goes, if you're not primarily here for the beach, it's in a great location downtown close to lots of food/coffee and shopping the rooms were clean though this hotel does not have the Lysol stickers that most Hiltons do in the season of COVID. Low average for a Hilton garden inn, good location
Jul 26th, 2020
Stayed here for two nights as my daughter had a field hockey tournament. Location was great for the downtime - walking distance to good stores and restaurants, cute area. Pool and fitness center were closed due to Covid; no breakfast for Hilton gold members as the restaurant was also closed. Room was decently clean, but still benefited from a wipe down in the Covid times. The rest of the hotel seemed kind of dirty like the hallways and definitely the stairwell that had the same cob of corn in the corner for the days we were there. Beds were comfortable so that was a positive. Might stay again as I like the location and am a gold member but sure wish it was cleaner overall! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our stay was not bad but not as nice as our previous stay a few years ago. I'll begin with the good. The hotel, for us, was in a great location. Several restaurants are in within a 2 block radius. Tupelo Honey(great southern cuisine), Einstein Bagels, Shake Shack, Cheese Cake Factory, Bahama Breeze and Ruth Chris Steak House. Five Below, Ulta, Bed Bath and Beyond are across the street. There is also a mall across the street as well. Virginia Beach is about a 10 to 15 minute drive which was fine for us. The few bad things were the hotel seemed to go down a bit. The outside trash was overflowing and we had to alert front desk twice. The front desk receptionist were not as welcoming as the last time aside from Aja who was great! She gave us several great recommendations. We understood that the pool and restaurant was not open due to covid, so that was fine. The rooms were not bad and were spacious enough. Beds were comfortable also. I would just suggest better customer service from front desk and staying on top of hotel appearance. We still enjoyed our stay immensely! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not up to Hilton standards
Jul 18th, 2020
I have stayed here a few times and it’s just not Hilton standards. This stay was by far the worst and will be my last. The staff was rude, my room was dirty and the AC was pretty loud. With the pandemic happening I was expecting at least a clean room. Also the lobby and hallways were very hot which made wearing a mask even more uncomfortable I think the AC was not working in any of the common areas. The parking situation is not ideal with the parking garage across the street didn’t feel safe walking alone as a female and didn’t see any security. I always stay at Hilton hotels but I think next time I will stay at the Westin when visiting. I avoid the oceanfront and really like the location just have never had a good experience here. I uploaded some photos of the nasty stains on the chair and the black mark on the comforter which looked dirty. That was really the only thing I wanted changed and I got major attitude for requesting a new comforter. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
