Awesome staff and room!

Aug 17th, 2019

We stayed here recently for a long weekend centering around the Jimmy Buffett concert. We stayed in a room with King Sized bed with sleep sofa. We loved the room as it was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had lots of room and were very happy with our selection. Our room was on route 58 side, but the noise was not so bad. We have a sound machine at night, so we listened to the waves crashing instead of the cars racing. We found plenty of parking across the street in the public parking and that was not so inconvenient for us. I want to talk about the staff. They were awesome! All the staff we encountered from housekeeping, front desk or restaurant were genuinely friendly and provided impeccable service. We unfortunately lost electricity in our area for about 6-7 hours Sunday afternoon which was a bit bothersome. The hotel staff was wonderful providing flashlights and apologies for something that they were not responsible. They even were kind enough to give us a discount on Sunday. We love the location as there are many top restaurants near by, some within easy walking distance. We Highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again in the future. A big thank you HGI VBTC from some grateful patrons. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent stay at this hotel.

I stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn for a business trip. The front desk staff did an excellent job/very friendly. I was highly impressed! The hotel itself is clean along w/ the rooms. Also, the hotel is in a good location and right next door (within walking distance) to some really nice restaurants and well-known stores. Plus they offer free garage parking directly across the street! And the breakfast is always good at the HGI! I will certainly stay at this hotel when I'm back for business, or even vacation! Not as good as first time in 2016.

Aug 15th, 2019

We've been staying at VA Beach Town Center to get to our favorite beaches around the area. The location & traffic to get to this town center is an easy drive & frictionless. We love the more modern amenities & vibe at the Town Center. This was our 2nd stay @ the HGI @ VBTC. We were happy to see the building has maintain it's mint condition & the lobby, carpet, hallways & rooms were all in great shape! Some may expect a HGI to be well occupied & wear a worn look - but not the case! As in August 2016 when we first visited - this place is very well put together and maintained with fast elevators. The house staff keeps the rooms immaculate and the bathroom was clean even though our room did have some moldy grout but nothing gross & similar to what's in some household. The knock off of 1 star this stay was 3 things all of which are complex issues: 1) the front desk staff said we couldn't use the bldg's next door's parking (weekend) because we would be towed. And due to limited HGI specific parking on site we needed to park down the street in public the Town Center's Public parking. We luckily found parking in a HGI spot but noticed a bunch of other hotel guests parked right where they were not supposed to & nothing happen to them. 2) We got assigned a street facing room & the street noise was apparent all night on 2nd floor. 3) The in-room HVAC is LOUD & you can tell difference when it's off vs. on. What makes it also annoying are that the unit doesn't have variable speeds so you cannot reduce to speeds to reduce noise nor airflow. Thus the noise is abrupt & airflow is too much. So while I love the overall convenience of this HGI esp the location, safety, & cleanliness, I think parking should be expanded to the adjacent tenant's lot so guest don't have to worry about getting towed. Can you do anything about street facing rooms that have very low sound proofing which will cause a non-peaceful night of rest? What about getting better HVAC units with variable speeds? We will continued to patronize this HGI location but other travelers should be forewarned about above 3 issues. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
