Older hotel in a nice location

The location is perfect, walkable and pleasant. The hotel is old, but the room is fine (except there was a really long hair in the tub). Wifi is ridicilous and shower pressure is very weak. Diamond breakfast benefit is twisted. While the exec. lounge is temporarily closed, you can receive things like oatmeal as the breakfast amenity; however, any omellete/eggs requires a 50% payment. So if you want real breakfast, your Diamond benefits only apply partially. Perharps this should be called "Silver plus" status. Restaraunt looked unappealing and the service seemed disorganized and the wait time for the host could be longer that you'd hope. There is Starbucks in the building, which was great. Elevators are kind of a disaster. It took 15 minutes in the evening hours to wait for one. Obviously, hotel cant control every individual guest and social distancing in the elevator can get disturbingly non-existant. Maybe larger signs to minimize crowds? Also, half the guests dont bother with masks in the common areas. The view from the room was fabulous. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The best ever

I stayed here on 6-30 and can I say that Brianna and Zoe at the front desk are angels!! I travel a lot and I can hands down say they are the most courtesy front desk employees Ive ever experienced. Also Lissa at the bar was A-mazing!!! All and all the best stay ive ever had as far as my travels go. Thank you so much ladies!!! Jess (aka worst headache ever) lol TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room was spacious enough, clean, mini-fridge and a good size TV. The King size bed was very comfortable and good quality bedding. Beautiful pool area. Perfect workout room including weights and ellipticals and treadmills. Great lobby with lots of seating if you need to work. Attached Starbucks and fairly priced restaurant. Hotel staff always friendly and helpful. Due to COVID19, they did not have any type of continental breakfast. Nothing prepackaged (yogurt, milk, cereal) nothing. Not even good lobby coffee for guests (lets be real, I've never had good hotel room coffee). But why would they when there is a Starbucks. Parking is free! And if you are touring the city, parking is expensive so that was a definite plus. I loved being able to walk almost everywhere. No hottub/jacuzzi or laundry unit. We did a lot of hiking on our trip and wish that I was able to do a little laundry. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to business travelers or a few days stay. Not for families or an actual "vacation" hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful staff, Disappointing Hotel.

This is an extremely difficult review to write because my experience at this hotel was such a mixed bag. I think that my overview would be something along the lines of “The staff are amazing, I just wish they worked at a different hotel”. They were extremely, amazingly helpful to us before check in with making sure our dog would be able to stay with us and sorting that out. The staff were very friendly at check in and were excited to greet us and the pupper. The front desk was very helpful with any issues we had and I genuinely don’t want this review to reflect badly on them. They are an excellent team and did everything they could to make our stay the best they could. I have a few expectations when it comes to a Hilton property, I am an Honors member and tend to pick out Hilton brands when I stay anywhere. Let’s break it down for clarity. 1. The Room. We stayed in the Parlour room on the 3rd floor. The room was very dated and definitely needs some updating and repair work. Our air conditioning wasn’t working so we had to get that fixed. The units are on the side walls and are very old and outstandingly loud. There was also base boards coming apart from the wall in some places. The walls were pretty thin and on my second night I was unable to fall asleep until around 4am due to the couple next door engaging in various activities. However the room was pet friendly, which was wonderful and a very good size. 2. The Mattress & Linens. One of the biggest reasons for booking a Hilton is their mattress. World class. Linens known worldwide. Unfortunately in this room the mattress was actually 2 fairly old Hilton mattresses stacked on top of each other and the comforter was extremely lumpy. My fiancée has worked for Hampton Inn previously and did that had it been her old location they would have thrown and replaced that comforter a long time ago. Again, the staff are wonderful. Nothing but good things to say about them. I really do think they deserve a better hotel to represent, because the hospitality is Hilton Standard, but the non executive floor rooms themselves are not. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Upon returning home from our weekend stay, I reviewed our checkout invoice. I was surprised to see a room rate greater than than the rate secured on booking.com. I placed a call to the front desk with my concerns and was told that even though they were the vendor who processed my payment, I needed to reach out to booking.com with my issues; the desk clerk indicated the travel agent must have communicated the wrong daily rate to them. It's also important to keep in mind, I had a written guarantee of room rate with the pertinent confirmation numbers, etc. I then called booking.com and the rep placed me on hold in order to reach out to the Hilton accounting manager. This accounting manager would not correct the rate to match the original booking invoice. I've now had to initiate a dispute with both booking.com and my credit card company. We are accustomed to receiving a certain level of service and integrity from the Hilton brand which was definitely not reflected in this situation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
