Good location for both business and leisure travelers
Customer service received mixed reviews
New York Hilton Midtown, located on the Avenue of Americas, caters to both leisure and business travels with its versatile amenities, which include ample fitness and business facilities, several on-site eateries plus the freezing cold minus5 Ice Bar. But while this Hilton touts plentiful amenities, it received mixed reviews overall. While some complain of inconsistent customer service and exorbitant nightly rates, others say the rooms' cleanliness and enviable location, within walking distance of iconic Manhattan landmarks, makes up for these drawbacks. Accommodations are simplistically decorated in neutral tones and feature the brand's signature Serenity bedding, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi access (for a fee). And if you participate in the Hiltons Honors rewards program, you can rest assured that you're eligible to earn and redeem points for perks like free nights here.

Critic Reviews

As the host of hundreds of conferences and conventions every year (you can count on at least a few on any given day), the Hilton heavily relies on — and caters to — business travelers.

New York Magazine

Christened in 1963 by Conrad Hilton himself, this mall of a hotel (with its 46 floors) has undergone numerous makeovers over the years: Tacky green floral carpeting and heavy curtains are out; floor-sensor night-lights and flat-screen TVs are in.
