The 543 guest rooms feature Hilton's signature Serenity beds, flat-screen TVs and large work desks with ergonomic chairs. And the hotel's location, on the fringes of Chinatown and the Financial District, make it a convenient choice for business and leisure travelers alike. Critic Reviews

A bridge over Kearny Street connects this giant hotel with Chinatown's Portmsouth Square, while the airy guest rooms are furnished with blond-wood Signature Serenity beds and large work desks with ergonomic chairs; spring for a balcony facing the bay for million-dollar views.

Shortcomings are few: There's a relatively skimpy fitness center and no pool.

Finally there's a good reason to stay in Chinatown. Having recently undergone a $55-million renovation, this upscale hotel geared toward the needs of the business traveler is a good choice for anyone seeking a convenient downtown location perfect for forays into Chinatown, North Beach, and beyond.
