Disgusting bathroom/sink, poor service, unwelcome staff attitude

Aug 17th, 2019

Right from check-in, this place felt unwelcome. The staff was very cold and felt like they wanted me out of the way. Bathroom sink had green mold. Checkout experience was terrible. Paid $400+ per night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awful and overpriced. Will not reserve the type of room you pay for.

Aug 17th, 2019

Paid for a king, forced to take a double because all king and queen bed rooms were “sold out” despite my booking a week in advance. Registration was generally unhelpful and it took forever to get into my room (understaffed) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Located near to the shopping belt of the city

Aug 17th, 2019

The hotel is about 5 mins walk to the main shopping streets of the city as well as to the Powell street Bart light rail station. The check in was fast as I was it’s loyalty card holder. Was put up at tower 3 high floor room. Was kinda of shocked when I exit the lift when it reached y floor... Low ceiling and very dark lift lobby. Entered the room and found that it was a good room size ( I had a kind size bed). There was also a sofa by the window side. The window though is very small although there isn’t any much to see outside anyway. Room has large tv, USB port for charging via the bed side clock. Otherwise it is still a very old fashion room. Everything is manual. From light switch to air con. Surprising , the amenities were limited. No kettle in the room although there is a coffee machine. Overall, it is a descent hotel though I was expecting a bit more due to the Hilton branding. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

Aug 16th, 2019

The hotel is located in a very central location and most attractions around San Francisco are walkable from here. The hotel is large, spacious and clean. Food in the restaurants was very good and the staff welcoming. The cable car is about 5-10 minutes easy walk from the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A decent hotel in a rough neighborhood

Aug 14th, 2019

As a Hilton Gold member I received an accessible junior suite upgrade on the seventh floor which had a great view of the adjacent parking garage. Fortunately most of my time was spent in the conference so I didn't have to worry about this much, but it was unsettling to feel that people were looking into my room - I ended up keeping the shades drawn most of the time. The room was recently renovated and had a modern comfortable feel. The hotel complex is huge and it is easy to get lost. My biggest disappointment was with the in hotel dining options - it appears that there is no in-room dining available (there is a quick "market" type option in the hotel lobby as well as a bar - but sometimes you just want to order in after arriving on a later flight). There are lots of dining options nearby, but the area around the hotel does not feel safe with the number of homeless/drug users nearby. As soon as you walk outside you will smell either weed or urine (sometimes both). Not pleasant! The hotel does seem to have good security though and security officers/police were always present in the lobby and the room has a safe for valuables/laptops. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
