Wonderful Resort

Jun 3rd, 2020

We have stayed at Sandestin Hilton multiple times over the years and they never fail to make our stay wonderful. This was the case for the latest stay. The bunk bed rooms are great families traveling with kids from small up to teenagers. They have their own alcove with bunks separated from the main sleeping area. There is a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in each room, along with a safe and iron. The room views are all wonderful and accurately described on the website. The weather, beach and pools are so inviting you will likely only want to be in the room to sleep. There are plenty of electrical outlets to keep all your electronics charged. Everyone from the bellmen to breakfast servers and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. With Seagar’s and the other on site restaurants, along with golf courses and tennis courts, there is no reason to leave the hotel if you are so inclined. Sandcastles is the inside restaurant which serves everything from pizza and wings, to sushi. It has a wonderful breakfast each morning with choices of a continental, buffet or fresh cooked omelettes or waffles. Picnix serves a quick breakfast to go and lunch and pizza later in the day. For you Starbucks fans, there is one of those in the hotel as well. Barefoot’s is beach side restaurant and offers fresh seafood, burgers or salads, along with frozen or mixed drinks. Spend a long weekend or a longer stay at the Sandestin Hilton, you will not be disappointed. My guess is you will go back year after year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Skip the suite

Visited Destin for the first time stayed at the Hilton. The hotel is older but pretty well maintained. The balcony could use a little paint but it was clean and a great view. Ambassador Suite was very large however all of the doors and one of the walls were shutters so if anyone is in the room with you there is no privacy. Also the condo next door has a little bar between the condo and the hotel which is right outside the balcony. They have live music starting around 3 pm and ends about 10pm most nights it was not to loud however a couple of nights it was so loud we couldn’t watch television much less get any rest. I do not recommend the ambassador suite! There service throughout the hotel was excellent! Convenient little shops for sunscreen and beach toys. Pool bar was very good great service! Best Destin Beach Hotel

Jun 1st, 2020

As a loyal hilton customer i booked this hotel putting good faith in the Hilton brand. In destin/sandestin/miramar beach area this is by far one of the best options out there if you can afford the price tag. This hotel is impressive, right on the beach with all amenities you could want including beach services from 9am-5pm like chairs/umbrellas ($39 fee plus reservation recommend ed) plus bar service. Pools are excellent even indoor pool with jacuzzi. All common spaces seem to be renovated and include restaurants, bars, sushi, gifts shops, ice cream parlor and coffee shops. Essentially if you wish to remain on resort you have everything there. Staff overall was friendly and helpful at front desk. Rooms are spectacular if you get ocean view junior suite. Only thing i was disappointed in during my 5 night stay was i attributed to lack of quality leadership of the hotel management team for not following up and enforcing nonsmoking rules. I fully enjoyed my vacation until 3rd night when more people checked in and decided to smoke cigars all day out on balcony and including marijuana at night which just filled my room up with unpleasant smell. I could not even enjoy being outside my room without smelling distasteful cigars/weed. After several complaints to staff the problem just persisted without resolution. This is the only negative of my entire stay at Hilton Sandestin Resort and I out that on leadership team for not enforcing rules and following up when issues occur. Aside from that i would still highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for great beach getaway. I give this hotel overall 4.0 out of 5. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Paradise

What a phenomenal resort that takes care of guests from the moment they set foot on the property. All parts of the resort are incredibly well maintained and clean. It’s clear that the staff is very well trained and takes pride in the hotel because every operation from check-in, service in all restaurants, to the beauty of the grounds was excellent. Barefoot beach restaurant had a terrific menu and we enjoyed every meal there and the awesome view. At the sushi restaurant we had a memorable dinner with beautiful rolls. The pools are warm and clean, towels are soft and abundant, and there are plenty of pool and deck chairs. Our room was clean, spacious, and well appointed. Everything you need for a perfect relaxing vacation is here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Family Getaway

May 27th, 2020

Excellent job by the management and staff at Hilton Sandestin during our recent stay. The property and roooms must have been renovated since our last stay many years ago and everything was up to date, clean and well appointed. When they opened back up, the staff worked very hard to implement stringent cleaning practices and appropriate social distancing, just a great job by the front desk, server staff, barternders and beach attendents. Big shout out to the housekeeper (Chen Phan? i believe?) who recovered a very important piece of jewelry when we switched rooms. Only suggestion i would have would be to put some family freindly things on property for when it rains and / or until local attractioins are up and running. Maybe some dart boards, ping pong tables, smores on the beach, pool tables, Firesticks to watch movies in the room, etc. Overall, it was excelllent. Please pass along my compliments to the entire staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
