Past glory

Apr 18th, 2020

This used to be a really top-level chic hotel in the 1990s and still very high standard in September 2011, but now it is just a regular four-star hotel. Nothing wrong with the hotel just not as good as it used to be. The mall is still nice. This is where we found out after 9/11, that we were expecting our first son: two major events in a space of 2-3 days, so it will always have something special for us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean, Nice Location in Northern NJ

Feb 29th, 2020

I spent 3 nights at this Hilton location last fall while visiting relatives in the NJ & NYC area. The room was beautifully decorated as well as very comfortable and clean. There was a wedding that weekend yet the noise did not permeate the entire hotel so sleep was possible. The front desk was attentive, housekeeping was discrete, and the location was easy to use as a home base while traveling around the area. Plus, the Short Hills Mall is right across the street, so I was able to walk over and grab a few gifts. ( Maybe not much else in walking distance so you will need a car to get around). This hotel's accommodations had the feel of a Four Seasons or Ritz for a much more reasonable price. Overall, truly one of the nicest Hilton hotels I've visited and will stay here again. Good hotel, BUT be aware....

Feb 25th, 2020

That in the past 12 months they have gone from free overnight parking to $10/day to now $18/day for a lot that is open to the public. So in other words, if you visit the hotel for lunch, a meeting etc. you park for free. But if you actually pay to stay there, you will also pay $18/day for parking your car. It is outrageous! Business at the Hilton

Feb 21st, 2020

Great place to stay, good location and great service. The check in and check out process was very fast. My only concern is that my room had a weird smell at my arrival but it was fixed during the next days. Overall, great place to have business meetings. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hilton

I was there for a funeral so my family occupied multiple rooms. The overall experience was wonderful. However food and beverage prices were outrageous and it took an hour to get lunch after we ordered on multiple occasions. That part of the service definitely needs improving. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
