Had a great stay recently at this hotel had a fantastic balcony facing the bay and the city, staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The manager on duty Brendan was a great help in making sure were happy and comfortable during our time there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Once in awhile, one strikes gold. This recent stay at upscale Hilton property (minus an upscale price tag) was really special despite Covid 19. We were traveling from Islamorada FL. back to north/central NJ. Clearly, this Hilton property should be designated as a five star hotel with two star pricing. I’ll tell you why. If you cherish history, 17th century architecture, great food and terrific views, this is the place for you. I was fortunate enough to travel to both exotic and metro desinations during my professional and private life. Bar none, this is one of the best values in St Augustine and the state of Florida as well. First upon arrival, we were gracious greeted by Andy, a concierge valet. So helpful, suitably geared with Covid in mind and immediately helpful with our belongings in that really hot sun. We were escorted to the front check-in podium and cheerfully greeted by Jessica Santore. Super friendly and extraordinarily helpful. We told her we had to make three stops traveling north from three months in the Florida Keys, back to NJ. Apparently the hotel was not fully booked an extended us the courtesy of a bay front room, overlooking Matsanas Bay, graced with sailboats and other fun water sports. What a delightful treat! Getting to our room was a breeze while passing through Spanish yesteryear artifacts, intricately tiled walls and artfully decorated period furniture enroute to our room. More impressive was the labeled certification fastened to the unit door explaining the “flawless care” rendered to ALL units during this virus. The room and view were spectacular, wall art and allied decorating demonstrate the level of commitment demonstrated toward this property. First class all the way. The exterior reminds me of quaint Bermuda but once inside one would believe Ponce de Leon would have chosen this property as his home! Finally, I can’t say enough about the sincerity and “WORLD CLASS CLIENT CARE” by Jessica at Check-In. She really set the tone for the balance of our stay. Without asking, she recommended visiting the quaint shops along the cobble stone street behind the hotel and most, if not all shopping and restaurants, all within walking distance. This Hilton property has employees I met that said they have been in Hilton’s employ for many years. Evidently, Hilton knows the importance of guest satisfaction and it is quite obvious in the demeanor of their fine employees, especially Jessica! Jessica set the tone for a delightful stay and be sure to let her do it for you on your next trip. I would rank this this property as 5 star while at the same time, a 3 star price tag. My husband and I stayed at the hotel for one night for a spur of the moment anniversary trip. The staff was super friendly, everything was clean. Great location. No complaints. When we checked out the next day I accidentally left my *favorite* foam pillow in the room. I called the next day to see if housekeeping had found it. Initially the lady at the front desk said it hadn’t been found. I was really frustrated by that, because I knew it was left in the room... So I called back again today and spoke with Brandon, the manager, who went above and beyond to locate my pillow! In this stressful world, I really appreciated the time he took out of his day to help me out. Thanks again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First, let me say that the staff were great....very helpful...polite. We splurged for a bay front/balcony room which was nice. During this Covid crisis, it is where we ate most of our meals...out on the balcony. The room itself needed a couple of things....the toilet seat was very loose, it kept sliding to the side. The lamp between the beds didn't work along with the two plugs...until I "jiggled" the cord...then it came on. Not good! Since we stayed only 2 nights, I let the front desk know of these concerns when we left, but wouldn't you think housekeeping would've noticed? Hmmmmm...... They have valet parking which I did not like. I'm used to having access to my vehicle when I want and every time we needed it, we tipped the guy. Since we weren't there to walk around St Augustine (business down in Palm Coast) we came and went often during those two days. It got a bit pricey tipping every time we needed the car. And...at time of the reservation, they should tell you that they charge $24/day for parking. What?? My husband went to the lobby for coffee the first morning we were there and found that they charge $3/cup. He asked why it wasn't complimentary (like every other place we've stayed) and they told him the complimentary coffee was the coffee maker in the room. Um...no thanks....I have NEVER used those! Not to mention there was only 3 creamers and 1 sugar at that in room coffee station. So....with a 2 night stay - two meals from their restaurant - 4 coffees....our grand total was just under $700. An incredible amount of money in my estimation..... Won't stay there again... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

what a welcoming hotel we found at Hilton historic Bayfront....upon arrival valet parking was easy, and friendly....those guys all week were helpful & friendly, answering all our questions, and had a cooler of iced water for whenever we wanted it. thank you Andy & Paul....great guys.....walking into lobby, front desk Matt helped us with our reservation....explaining the changes with our room daily service...thank you Matt & Jessica for explaining all....we understand, and our girl on first floor helped us with all our towel/shampoo, ect. need....I wish I could remember her name. but she also was great....were diamond members, and were told of the breakfast included we could have....what we did, was 4 out of 5 of the days we got breakfast to go, & had our bathing suits on, we enjoyed our breakfast sitting at table in pool/hot tub area. no one was ever there, what a great way to start the day, in the hot tub, after having breakfast poolside. thanks restaurant for packing breakfast up with all our needs. our room was very comfortable, we were placed on 1st floor overlooking bay.....sunrises were beautiful.....bed was comfy.....perfect room for us, thank you Brandon/front desk for putting us there.....we were celebrating our anniversary/as we were supposed to be on a cruise, which was cancelled. this was the perfect city for us, and this historic Bayfront Hilton was the perfect hotel for our exploring this charming city.......5 days/nites were the perfect amount to spend walking these cobblestone, fascinating little shops....touchee Hilton....we had a blast, and all whom we came in contact at this hotel were helpful, friendly, fun......well be back... :) :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
