My husband and I went to see the Nights of Lights and stayed at the Hilton for 3 nights. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the bay. Our stay there was wonderful! The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff were outstanding...helpful, courteous and friendly. The gal that cleaned our room was so accommodating and always a smile on her face. Honestly, it was the most enjoyable experience we have ever had at a hotel. Worth every penny! We will be going back again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Wonderful Christmas weekend
Dec 28th, 2020
A very well located hotel on the waterfront and the historic section. Warm, friendly and helpful staff giving the hotel a family atmosphere. Fabulous Nights of Lights decorations outside and beautiful tree inside. Excellent valet parking. Starbucks in lobby for a quick coffee etc. We dined in the Avila restaurant for Christmas Eve buffet dinner which was well set up according to new regulations. All guests wore masks. Bedrooms were well appointed. House keeping was most helpful and changed sheets if requested. Restaurant manager was fantastic in placing our names on a cancellation list for Christmas Eve dinner. We were so very thankful as all the best restaurants were fully booked and others had long lines, which we wished to avoid during Covid 19. A wonderful stay. Thanks to everyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great spot/Staff was disappointing/Valet-Only parking/Average rooms
Dec 28th, 2020
Upon arrival, we were informed we were being placed in a double queen room, even though we had booked a king room. Our friends, who booked at the same time as us, got their second-floor king room with a balcony and a great view. We ended up in a double queen room on the first floor with a view of an alley. Hugely disappointing with no recourse. The hotel itself is located in a great spot, being located at the bay and near most of the attractions. The bar was small, but the drinks were good. We upgraded our stay with the "breakfast included" option, which was actually a $30 credit, not an all-inclusive breakfast. Because nearly all of the breakfast options exceeded $15pp, we ended up paying for a portion of our breakfast (not to mention the automatically added gratuity). During check-in, the receptionist/desk clerk made zero effort to accommodate us and simply told us it was all that was available. When we inquired whether we could some other form of recompense for not getting what we booked (waive valet, a couple of free drinks at the bar, etc), we were met with a "too bad" attitude. During check-out, we inquired again, whether we could meet halfway, since the hotel did not meet our expectations, but we were met with the same nonchalant attitude from another clerk. The room was clean, but I would consider it average. Given the price to stay at this location, you are clearly paying for the location - not the hotel or service. Overall, it is unlikely we would stay here again, considering the way the staff treated us during check-in and check-out. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor service and average rooms on a great location

Stayed one night. It is valet parking only. But you can park on the street for free from 5pm. They decided to charge me anyway and I had to ask to remove the charge. We ordered a continental breakfast for 2 to go:including the 25% mandatory gratuity the total charge was $67.... Served on a brown bag it was less than average. I’m a Diamond member with the Hilton chain. Time to change? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Just a perfect location to enjoy St. Augustine

located right in the middle of downtown area and within walking distance of everything. Never moved our car in three days. In fact, save the valet charge and uber in because you never need a car. Staff is super pleasant and helpful. They treat you like the best traveler that has arrived. The breakfast and dinner are quite good except they should be more open about gratuity on checks of five or more because not everyone reads their check :) . The rooms are really well insulated and you dont hear much from the outside. The hotel also has these cool patios to sit and enjoy if you know to look for them. Quite comfortable and allows you to enjoy the night air. The beds were super comfortable. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Perfect for enjoying the nights of lights. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
