No Hot Food, No Microwaves

Hotel itself it ok, but it clearly hasn't fully reopened. Convenient location near UF, but otherwise out of the way. While I appreciated the Partfait option at breakfast the closed onsite restaurant and lack of hot food is a real downer. While it seems like a small thing, the lack of microwaves for guest use is frankly unacceptable during covid. Best to stay elsewhere untill a covid vaccine is found and they fully reopen. Nice hotel but not if you need a wash cloth!

I seldom write reviews. This hotel was clean and that is most important to me. I was forced to go to Florida during the pandemic and the numbers are sky high here. Now is not the time to tell your guests that the hotel does not have wash cloths. I asked two days in a row and the front desk told me they don’t have wash cloths! What. In. Tarnation?? I am so paranoid about germs I took two showers today and yesterday. With NO wash cloth! I am amazed this is a Hilton. Staff is nice and friendly but I wouldn’t say very helpful if they can’t find a couple of wash cloths in a hotel for days. Sorry but not acceptable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First, I'll say the staff were friendly and tried to behave as professional as they could. BUT, during the COVID 19 times, the hotel has decided not to clean the rooms while you are there. Sorry, but this is out of line. The Hotel staff could at least have a compromise to have a person clean when you left the room to go someplace. Also, unlike the Embassy Suit Hotel, I visited before this one, if I needed extra towels, shampoo, etc... it was brought to my room. Sometimes, because of COVID 19 only as far as the door, but to me. I wasn't required as a Gold Member to come to the reception and wait in line to get it. The Hilton (The Hotel carrying the name of the Hilton Honors...) decided against that. I'm sorry, but this is the service one would expect at the Motel 6, NOT at a Hilton. Yes, I understand you must take precautions because of the pandemic, but there are ways to give a Guest service without forcing them to sleep in a messy room and wait in line to get a tiny bottle of shampoo because the hotel left one little bottle for two people. So, Since the Hilton University of Florida, neglected to do like all Hilton brand hotels have done in the past and send me an email asking me to rate my stay, at hope you are reading it here. I will give you an idea of how other Hotels are acting more professional with Gold Member Guests during the pandemic. If a person needs something for their room, a person comes immediately and has the stuff sitting outside the room, and the guest doesn't have to go downstairs to the reception and wait in line. If a guest wishes to have his/her room cleaned, then to ensure the staff are safe, have it clear that when the team comes, the guest is to vacate the room. A friend brought up the point of any virus lingering in the room even though the guest had left, well, how long do you wait before cleaning the room after the guest checks out? I hate to write this as we have been frequent guests over the years, but....when you have to change rooms 3 times bc your assigned room was occupied, or bc there were old sandwiches in your leaky refrigerator, or bc the carpet was wet...and then you wait in the hallways with numerous passing guests, for 15 minutes for the manager to bring you a key...oh, and while you have a wheelchair in your party...I don't think so, Hilton. No excuses. I hope we don't get sick... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spent the night here while traveling home from a family vacation. The property was very nice, social distancing guidelines were being met, the staff wore masks, the room was clean. We felt very comfortable there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
