Wonderful spa, beautiful setting. Value for money

Aug 23rd, 2019

The setting is beautiful, true English heritage but updated with mod cons throughout and very stylish. We stayed over night using a secret escapes deal which included a deluxe classic room with beautiful garden views, an evening three course a la carte dinner, breakfast and a three course lunch plus spa access both days. The spa is the best I've been to. So much to do. You can really unwind and relax. I had a back massage and my partner had the Indian head massage followed by a full day of swimming and relaxing. The three course evening dinner was beautifully cooked and well presented. The breakfast service was self serve but great quality. The only let down at all was lunch at Hugos which wasn't great but considering we paid £279 all in, it was excusable. We will definitely be returning TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect getaway

Aug 23rd, 2019

I loved my stay here with my sister. Our package was very reasonable. Every member of staff I spoke to was great. Our newly refurbished standard room far exceeded my expectations, it felt like a luxury hotel room. We enjoyed a lovely cream tea on arrival. Our evening meal was delicious. Breakfast and lunch were lovely. I enjoyed my treatment. The newer areas were modern and relaxing and the refurb in general has blended the grandeur and history of the building with modern decor very well. I used to visit here more regularly in the past but had felt that it lost it’s lustre but this visit restored the shine and I look forward to returning in the not so distant future. Fabulous Stay!

Aug 22nd, 2019

Stayed on an overnight spa break with my sister. Have stayed many times before & always been impressed with Hoarcross but there has been a lot of refurbishment since my last stay which was really impressive. Our room was beautifully decorated, Fabulous views of the grounds, beds really comfortable. All our meals were fantastic Our 3 course meal on the evening offered a good choice of menu & all 3 courses were delicious 😋. Breakfast offered everything you could want, self service which was fine, everything from continental to full english & healthy choices, so something for everyone, tea & coffee served by waiters/waitresses. The lunch on day of departure was again 3 courses and again delicious & faultless. Spa facilities really good, gowns, towels and slippers provided two good size pools, sauna rooms, steam rooms, solariums, everything you could want from a spa. New additions were the relaxation areas, we loved these areas, comfy loungers with throws to relax on, pods filled with oversize cushions to relax in, really amazing and a really nice touch was the fruit infused water which was available. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly relaxed which is what it’s all about. All the staff work really hard and their customer service is fantastic, they are all so friendly and helpful and really try hard to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. My only negative is they could do with more loungers around the pools but understand that space to put them is limited and not really a big issue as plenty of other areas to relax. The bar drinks are really expensive, £15 for a cocktail I think is way too expensive! But despite this, I have stayed in many spa’s and this is the best by far! In fact so good I have already booked to go again with my husband in December. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I love Hoar Cross Hall

Aug 22nd, 2019

My friend and I have just returned after a three night stay at Hoar Cross, we have been staying here 3 times a year for the past 20 years, so I don't need to say how much we enjoy it. We always choose to stay in the old part of the building as we love the atmosphere there. Because we have stayed so often we have experienced many, many changes - some good some not so good. For us it’s the little touches that disappoint now, no complimentary coffee after the evening meal, very little change in the evening meal menu when you stay multiple nights, the pianist only playing Friday and Saturday evening, the loyalty scheme being disbanded, a real issue for regular visitors, the quick turnover in staff, thank goodness for Donna and Joy who are still on Reception who always recognise and welcome us when we arrive, it’s these little touches that make a place special and make guests want to return. Some of the things I have just mentioned seem to be recurring problems with many visitors so please, please management listen to the comments and act on them accordingly TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Special Treat for our 40th Anniversary

Aug 22nd, 2019

Booked this spa break through Secret Escapes and had a fabulous time celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel is lovely with lots of character. The spa facilities are fabulous and could not fault the staff all very courteous and attentive. We stayed for one night and had use of the Spa from the moment we arrived until 5.30pm on our 2nd day so we thoroughly enjoyed the rest. My only criticism would be that the ballroom for dinner lacked atmosphere and was quite uninviting but due to the number of people staying I can understand. The food and service throughout the hotel was exemplary and I would recommend a stay here we will definitely return in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
