Dreamy Desert Destination: Stay Here!

Mar 15th, 2020

This was our first time to the desert area to stay and it will not be our last! Your staff was wonderfully warm, welcoming, and offered a complimentary sangria upon arrival. All staff we encountered were friendly and attentive, especially Justice! We were beyond shocked when we were told we were comp upgraded to their FABULOUS suite, so many cute little design details made for a big experience. Stunning, over-sized suite with two private patios and outdoor shower (that we definitely took advantage of). Luxurious bed linens, super fun mini bar, yoga mats, weights & pool bag for use, soaking tub in the bathroom... Exceptional! The beautiful property was so quiet and very easy for us to achieve the solitude we were looking for (couldn't get enough of the serene pool area). It was so nice to have access to the complimentary bicycles to trek around town, which you are centrally located in. If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, that would be most accurate. I have been telling everyone about our amazing Holiday House adventure. Thank you so much, Holiday House Team, for providing a truly memorable Palm Springs experience and for making us feel so welcome. Already looking into our next stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful and relaxing design filled getaway!

Mar 14th, 2020

I LOVED the Holiday House! The design by Mark D Sikes is so relaxing, beautiful and thoughtful. I loved the art collection and the general mood at HH which is relaxed, casual, artsy and peaceful. Waking up to birds chirping and the sweet smell of orange and lemon blossoms was absolute heaven. The beds, rooms, bathrooms and robes are super comfy. The owner’s collection of personal art & design books are stacked around the property and were lovely to read poolside. The food is delicious and unfussy but thoughtful especially for brunch and lunch. My only suggestions would be fresh juice for the morning breakfast and perhaps offering the Sunday brunch menu every morning as it is delicious. Honestly I cannot wait to go back. I work in interior design, art and style and loved the charm of this boutique hotel. I had room 14 and lived the large glass shower and skylights. It reminded me of staying at my grandmothers back house in La Jolla. Little things like free post cards home and Topochico water was a nice touch. If you are into design or old California style this is the place to stay. Especially if you don’t want a party atmosphere just a relaxed, artsy, pool vibe. We rode the bikes to the nearby art museum and I loved all the blue and white design inspiration at the Holiday House. Read the “Beautiful” book if you want some insight into the designer’s style. March weather was perfect! Will visit again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Weekend By the Pool

Mar 14th, 2020

My husband and I have stayed at this darling boutique hotel several times now and have always had a wonderful time. The hotel is small and cozy with friendly staff and great ambiance-everything is blue and white! We'll be coming back soon! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Palms springs vaca

Very nice accommodations. Views of the local mountains, close to downtown. Staff were congenial and helpful as to p.s. activities (Tahquitz canyon!). No phone nor t.v. in the economy room worked well. Would definitely recommend to others. We would be inclined to choose them next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible Lying Management

Mar 14th, 2020

The manager/owners name is Nathan DeWindt. We also had to cancel outside of the 72 hour window because of the corona virus (we are coming from NYC). Our first call to Holiday House resulted in "CJ" informing us we we could apply the deposit to a future stay given the gravity of the circumstances. When we sent the amended dates via email, we were then informed that the deposit would not be applied. When they went back on their word, we informed them we would not be stay in the future. They also told us we would have to speak with "Nate" to address our deposit but they do hope we come as planned now and that it's sunny in PS (Also a LIE). We have put in numerous calls to "Nate" which he has never returned. I wonder how a small boutique hotel expects to survive this National Emergency with such poor customer service. We planned on coming in the future and they told us they would apply our deposit but went back on their word. Is $400 more important than the future revenue of a later stay of approximately $1,500? DO NOT book a stay here . Book the parker instead. This hotel will not survive. Holiday house engages in bad business, is irresponsible, and will suffer reputation risk when all the dust settles.
