Perfectly suitable for an airport hotel

We stayed for one night as we had an early flight out of Athens the next morning. The hotel is not so close to the airport but there is shuttle bus to take you there complimentary. We had to choose from a 05:30am departure or 06:30am departure, a 06:00am would have been ideal but at that time in the morning there wasn't the option! Foyer is very open, beautiful and cool. We were met by very friendly and efficient staff who checked us in and out effortlessly. We went straight to our room which was super spacious and modern. The bed was heavenly and we both slept very well. Disappointed there is no water in the room....with temperatures reaching nearly 40c during the day it would have been nice to have it there as we just didn't have the time to go and find a shop (which would not have been walking distance). There is an expensive minibar though. Shower was full of hot water and definitely made our day off to a good start before checking out. Very convenient for an overnight stay in Athens

Good value, modern and close to Athens airport offering shuttle service both from and to it. The room was spacious, the matress - pillows very comfy; usual Holiday inn hotels good standards for mainly business travelling people. Even though it's close to the Athens Intl Airport it's not difficult or very far to visit Athens centre by taxi or even by public bus (bus stop in 50m). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent hotel for travellers like me seeking a nice hotel to spend the day before the next flight. Spacious and clean rooms with modern decoration. Nice restaurant serving awesome burgers. Gentle personnel and prices according to holiday inn pricing. Unfortunately due to COVID the gym and the pool are closed 😷😟😟. The shuttle bus is very convenient for the airport making the tour hourly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Pit Stop

We stayed here for one night before flying off to the Sporades islands. There is an hourly shuttle from the airport, we had to wait for 20 mins at the airport, but it was in a shady spot with a seat and we were happy to wait, the shuttle trip was about 10 mins. The shuttle was great, it fitted us and all our luggage. Our hotel rooms were spotlessly clean and the hotel seemed to be taking many Covid measures which is reassuring. We had interconnecting rooms with the children which was really nice, we hadn't asked for it, I find this caring attitude towards families to be a much appreciated nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, there was a nice view out over the basin where the airport is located. It was a good choice, we didn't feel the need to travel all the way into central Athens. We actually had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant, ice cold drinks, nice salads, burgers (freshly made patty not a nasty frozen one), chips, a nice family friendly meal, fresh and unfussy. The waiting staff here were excellent, very friendly and helpful it was a great way to start our holiday, thanks Holiday Inn! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beware it's not true that there is a shuttle 24 hours/day on the hour

We booked on Expedia the Holiday Inn near the airport because we are catching a flight tomorrow. In Canada and the US the Holiday Inn, is not so expensive, but here it's with tax aver $200/night. We figured it would be ok since we would not have to pay for a taxi from and to the airport. Well we landed at 10pm and the last shuttle is at 10pm and our flight leaves at 2:40 but there is no shuttle between 11:30 and 2:30... When we got to the hotel they told us that they had changed the policies regarding the shuttle on their website because of Covid but that Expedia had not changed it. When I asked if they could make up for this, they said flatly no. They insisted that it was our fault for trusting Expedia and not going on their website, because their website has been updated! I believe that the management should make up for this as it is false information. We booked in good faith, they know there is a discrepancy with Expedia but they won't make up for it. They should take responsibility. Otherwise the bed is really comfortable, the room is big enough however the bathroom is outdated, the elevator is in bad shape and it's an area devoid of any charm.
