Picked this hotel for the location and the golfing. Was a little turned off at check in, I can’t remember the woman’s name something with a C but not the best attitude. Room was clean and smelled good, made for a nice welcoming otherwise. Bar next to the pool was my favorite. Very nice facility no problems, clean rooms, nice location. I would definitely stay again. So disappointed!! The resort needs updating. The kitchen looks like it was recently renovated but not the rest. We had gnats in our room. The rooms had a funky odor. When we checked in the guard was rude and condescending. When I said we were checking in, I didn’t realize that this complex had multiple resorts not just Holiday Inn. His remark was where are you checking in my house, friend’s house, Sheraton, Holiday Inn? Then the only explanation to how to get to our resort is “do you see the tennis courts? That’s where you need to go.” Mind you he was pointing at a distant tennis court not just around the corner. A map could be helpful or an actual check in counter not a guard house. The entire stay we didn’t see a holiday staff except landscaping people. To checkout just leave your keys on the counter in your room. Won’t be returning to this resort. We are owners at Orange Lake and Marco Island. So I hope all the new resorts they recently acquired are not like this. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

As you arrive at your vacation destination, you attempt to find your "Holiday Inn Club" room in a complex with multiple buildings and signage saying "Sheraton" on Marriott Drive. Confused? It's only the beginning. Website and booking agent for Holiday Inn Club tell you that the renovations underway and amenities are limited. That's a lie. No renovation is underway. Not even a paintbrush or ladder in sight! Building 9 is either being sold, or being tied up in a court settlement. Complex security guard handles your welcome packet and keys. No on-site management or staff. Rooms are fine but should be sold to Sheraton with the other 8 buildings and amenities that are here. Dialing 0 on your phone is never answered. My family recently got back from a vacation and I'm finally able to write to you about our experience at the Holiday Inn Club Vacation Bay Point, Panama City Beach, Florida. To be fair and clear, we stayed at the Bay Point location, not the beach front, but the beach front "manages" the Bay Point location and our issue with the employees are with the beach location and our issues listed below are actually at the Bay Point location. My advice is to NOT STAY at the Bay Point location. Please read on: Once we arrived and got into room 2187 and 2188, we noticed that the door was broken going into the bathroom in 2188 and that the air was not working. (We have pictures if you would like them). I called the front desk and spoke to India at the other location in PC (as we were told that is where we call to get repairs handled). India stated that she would have someone to come over. They never showed, this is a problem as sharing a room with your children and not having the privacy of being to close the bathroom door is awkward? Then we noticed that the room was not cooling properly, we have pictures of the unit being on and cool and set for 68, but in the middle of the night it is still 77 degrees in the room, during the day it got into the mid 80's in the room. This is probably one of the reason for the mold in the windows and back patio (we have pictures of this as well). We called again on Monday, spoke to India, she was going to send someone back out to the room, they never showed. Tuesday, I talked to Jackie. She said India didn't turn it into maintenance, in the meantime, the room is baking. Jackie promised to get it fixed. Didn't happen on Monday either. On Tuesday, I spoke with Sarah or possibly Anna. She said that Aaron was nearby and would have him to call. He did and sent the maintenance team out. They finally fixed the door and attempted to fix the unit. They couldn't--- and had a professional AC company come look at it. they "unstopped" a drain and left. The unit worked for about an hour and went back out. Another hot night. I texted Aaron early on Wednesday morning as we were woke up at 5:30 am with people stacking pool chairs at the pool outside our door (have pictures of this as well) Aaron stated this was managed by another hotel (Sheraton) and he couldn't help that situation. We met the pool guys out there checking the water and pointed out all the dead frogs in the pool (have pics and videos of this as well if you would like to see) asked why wouldn't they clean that out while they were there, they said they would, they never did. There was never any peace and quiet here as there was construction going on the entire stay (also have pics for this). Finally, Aaron just showed up at our unit unannounced with keys to another unit. He moved us to the 4th floor, but this was on Wednesday and we were checking out Thursday morning. He had a good jesture stating that they keys had been programmed for us to stay a few more days if needed, but we were set to check out and go to another location. We then had to pack up all of our stuff, put on buggys, move to 4th floor, then unpack (this was around lunch), then get up the next morning early and pack it all back up, put on buggys and load back up. I appreciated his attempt to help, but it was 4 days later! We were very dissatisfied with this trip, the noise, not being able to use pool due to dead frogs, being woke up early moving chairs, no privacy in the bathroom, and the oppressive heat in the unit. I have attempted to contact the hotel to see if they would work out something to "make it right" they refuse to contact me back. Since I am an owner at Holiday Inn Vacation Clubs, I contacted the IHG help desk to see if they could assist me in getting the hotel to respond. I have about 12 sets of e mails going back and forth, each time the IHG people state that they have contacted the hotel and that they are set to contact me, they yet have done it, and this has been going on since June 3rd. In other words, they have no plans to make this right in any form, fashion, or way. I am suggesting a word of caution to spend your hard earned money and especially your points with Holiday Inn Club by using them at this resort. Randy Ward TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

• The smell – dust, must, filth, dead animals? • Cockroaches, spiders, and tics in the unit. • Bugs crawling all over floors in bathroom. • Looked as though the unit had not been occupied or cleaned in years. • Carpet frayed, outdated, smells, filthy dirt all over. • Floors, dirt everywhere. Cracks in tiles on floors. • Dirty plates, cups, silverware. Drawers they were in were black on the bottom. • Paper towels for use under sink were soaking wet and musty smelling needed to be disposed of. • Bathroom sinks non-functional. • Bathroom shower non-functional. • Tubs with grim all over. • Cable box in unit non-functional. • Walls and trim have black marks and dents all over the unit. In need of severe maintenance. • No Laundry units in facility. • No exercise unit. Nothing on site at all, no restaurant no amenities at all. • Beach is 15 miles and 30 minutes away. • Oven grease all over front of oven. • Cracker Jack Box unit, we can hardly move in it. Kitchen is so small you cannot move in it. • Entire facilities garbage outside of new unit door overflowing and has not been picked up in days. • Told if we wanted to use the Sheraton Resort Reflections facilities on the property it would cost approximately $19 per day at our cost and we would have to find out about it ourselves. • Customer service terrible, no ability to improve issues. * I wish I could share my pictures, but I cannot get internet connection!
