at the Holiday Inn Colorado Springs Airport
Overpriced, and lacking amenities
Jun 3rd, 2019
Starting from the ground floor going up, there is no complimentary breakfast, but a restaurant that is overpriced, you have to pay two"stamps" in the hotel snack bar for water, and stamps cost an undetermined amount that was never revealed to me, the hotel hallways are a maze to get through, the bathroom door can be unlocked from the both inside and outside, so anybody that is outside bathroom can unlock it and get in, there is no bathtub, and my 5 year old son hates showers, the shower looks old and cracked, and there is standing water in it that sat there for days, the TV component box that allows you to connect external devices doesn't work, the lighting is too dim and orange, unless you turn on every lamp, and the telephone doesn't work. The Hampton inn is much less for the price, and they have fresh lemon water for guests available throughout the day. On the good side, thee room was large and elegant, the sink and toilet area was new and I loved the touch screen mirror. I loved the fresh cookies that were baked. The pool is small, but the hot tub is pretty large. The staff was nice and willing to help where they can. I agree that it was newly renovated, I travel to colorado springs monthly, but it was focused on decorations and design, not functionality. There are several things that do not cater to the guests. This has thee look of a 5 star hotel, but works like a 2 or 3 star one. On three positive side, the staff this everything the could to make the stay pleasant even with what little they could control. I suggest planning a bit if you want some extra amenities, moonlight food and security (like the bathroom), but for the price and the area, not bad. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
One night COS

Company booked three rooms for us for a quick, one night stay. Average room, flimsy plastic shower insert, indifferent staff at check in. However...the "Burger" restaurant connected to the hotel was the worst! (as flight crew we see them all). Only four other patrons at the time we sat to place an order to take to rooms. It was slow, the order was wrong after asking the waitress, then repeating to the bartender/ cashier guy. He said " they put mayonnaise on it-still want it" in a less than contrite matter. Waste of time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
HOLIDAY INN IN COLORADO SPRINGS DISAPPOINTS!!!
Apr 18th, 2019
Went to Colorado Springs on business for 10 days and my company booked a room at the Holiday Inn Colorado Springs Airport. First let me start in saying that the rooms were not well maintained and very dated. It's safe to say that the next time I am in Colorado Springs on business or please that I WILL NOT BE STAYING AT THE HOLIDAY INN COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT AGAIN!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hotel Stay on Business Trip......
Mar 26th, 2019
Had stayed at this location while on a business trip from Chicago. Was here for the week. With my hotel status with IHG I was given a very nice two room suite upgrade for the duration of my stay. Had no issues with the room. With the restaurant in the hotel it made for a very convenient stop for breakfast and dinner. Everyone that I dealt with the hotel staff was excellent. Very good stop! I thought this was a very nice Holiday Inn. The location was very convenient to the airport. The room was clean and decent. The staff was friendly. The gym was good by hotel standards. It had a treadmill, elliptical, bike, and some dumbbell free weights with a bench. There was enough to get in a good workout. In the morning, the breakfast was decent - made to order - but there did not seem to be enough staff on to handle the crowd. The waitstaff was very friendly, however, and really tried to make the wait for food not seem so bad. I would stay here again - well worth the value! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
