Good location, dated decor

Jul 20th, 2019

Very popular location—but older room furnishings. Mattress however was excellent. Combo indoor outdoor pool. Good burgers and breakfast. Across street from T-heads. Wet carpet in two of the rooms—don’t know the source. Room changed bc AC didn’t work in one room. AC condensation water collected and dripped from air vent above bed and had to be mopped off every few hours. Location and good mattress combined with worn-out decor makes it average. Lots of families with kids. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

In desperate need of make over

Jul 20th, 2019

We would have a great view of the ocean if only we could see through the dirty window. This hotel is in desperate need of TLC, it’s old, dirty and old fashioned. This hotel is way too expensive for the quality. Extremely disappointed! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not fussy but...

Jul 20th, 2019

There are some very basic things the hotel is not doing. The lobby area was not vacuumed the 2 days we stayed there. Creates an immediate impression. The room we were in had a great view but boy was it tired. Some water damage beside the patio window and the bathroom is ancient. Our bedroom was sort of made up, however, they did not replace coffee, cups etc. I called down and got so frustrated waiting I went down myself to get them. I read another patrons comment on lack of training. Fully agree. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, with amazing views

Jul 8th, 2019

I spent 5 days at the Holiday Inn on a business trip, unfortunately it was the same week of the Texas School safety officer conference, it took 45 minutes to check in, no fault of the hotel, just a large number of persons checking in at the same time. I was originally given room 1423, which had an amazing view, but the toilet didn't work and after it was fixed it started leaking. I was given another room, room 917 and I didn't have another issues. The staff was friendly and professional, the hotel doesn't charge for receiving packages, and there is an omelette station during the buffet breakfast. The hotel is a bit dated and is starting to show it's age. But my overall experience was good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible experience. Dirty. Lack of maintenance

Jul 6th, 2019

Bath tub was clogged. Dirty covers. Stained pillows. Terrible noise until 1am. Restaurant was not cleaned at 8am. Only 4 tables available. Pool area was dirty at 10am. Breakfast was not very fresh. People tried their best but they were not well trained. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
