Not worth the $

Overall the hotel is pretty run down and dirty. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating but I got the sense they were fairly understaffed. When we got to our room the blanket, sheets and two of the pillows were dirty. There was hair in the sheets. They sent up new linens which we replaced. There were no towels at all in the bathroom. When we requested some we were informed they were out of wash clothes but they will send up bath and hand towels. When they brought up bath towels they said they were also out of hand towels but we could get more the next day. The next day I requested more towels and was told again that they were out of hand towels but I could have one towel and one washcloth(for 2 guests) up at the room we found the towel was dirty and had blood on it! On top of all of that they advertise “free breakfast buffet” which is a grab and go breakfast consisting of bananas, oranges, oatmeal and granola bars. At least the staff was friendly! The Only Unfavorable Experience I Have Ever Had At A Holiday Inn Express

There were professional hotel staff members except for an irritated older man at the front desk. He confirmed that 2 defective (loud and sparking) hairdryers had been replaced. He said he would be watching for a "good review' from me as a result. We checked in early. The bathroom had an exhaust fan. The price per night was not worth the inconveniences. Someone placed a new hairdryer in our room without permission despite COVID-19 guidelines. The limited bath linen smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathtub faucet was loose. The toilet base had a large chip. There were no towel handles or bars to hang reused towels on to dry. One bed was TOO close to the wall. The queen beds seemed small to be considered queen size. There was a dead fly smashed on the balcony door window. The balcony door handle was very loose. This posed a safety concern. The bathroom floor was dirty with hair and stains. Our hall always smelled offensive (like recreational plant smoke), and had construction dust on the carpeting and sprinkler lines semi-exposed overhead. The vending machine had VERY warm water. The breakfast was very limited and lacked any complete proteins. Some options for complete proteins at breakfast could include hard boiled eggs, milk, cream cheese, yogurt, or cottage cheese. Be cautious when staying at this Hotel

None of the plumbing works. I had to switch rooms 3 times because the toilets would not flush. The entire first floor smelled of sewer. A pipe burst and all rooms on first floor had to be evacuated. An apology, not an explanation was communicated to guests. Clean towels were rarely provided. Managers were unprofessional, crass and inconsistent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This holiday in really cares for their guests. We were here using the 3rd floor board room, the staff went over and beyond to ensure we had what we needed in the room! Also the custodian i don’t remember his name, was great as well! He should be recognized! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

COVID-19 breeding zone

We stayed the weekend due to home renovation and were very nervous about cleanliness and COVID19. Our room #313 hadn’t been clean thoroughly. It was full of flying bugs and my 4 yo daughter pointed our large spider webs throughout the tv stand and tables. The bathroom had muddy footprints in certain sections. I called front desk & was told that housekeeping would come clean the room. My reply was due to COVID, how would this be done safely? I was told “no worries, it’ll be okay”! I refused housekeeping so social distance reasons & demanded a room change. At that point, he appeared annoyed & told me “well, come get a key to another room”! What type of service is this?? We cleaned the new room and settled in. The next morning we heard loud bangs & realized it was the housekeeper. she was cleaning rooms in the area, with her cart blocking our doors, all while not wearing a MASK at all. Her helper, a younger guy wore his mask like a chin strap! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
