Vehicle broken into
Apr 26th, 2020
This was my second stay at this hotel. My truck and three other vehicles were broken into early Easter morning. Sheriff said this was the fourth time vehicles had been broken into at this hotel. Yet looking around, there aren’t many cameras on the property. One would think since this has occurred on numerous occasions the company would like to have guests feel secure. Especially since the hotel location is near woods, the interstate and down in a bit of a hike. Needless to say, I won’t be staying at this Holiday Inn again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
2 Day visit over from the UK
Jan 28th, 2020
2nd time I've stayed at this hotel. The people who work there are great and friendly, especially the kind lady on the desk on the evening of Mon/Tue Jan 20/21, I wanted to somewhere to go running and it looked and was incredibly dark outside with hardly any lighting. The lady recommended at a track at the medical centre down the road, which was ideal and lit. Room was very clean and spacious, and more than comfortable enough for a two day stay. Good selection of complimentary breakfast, lovely sausage and omelettes. Had to pass on the sachets of grits, as we don't have them in the UK; so was unsure on that. The gym was small, but adequate seeing as I was on UK time so pretty much up before anyone else in the hotel. Would defo recommend and stay here again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Don’t stay in this area

There appear to be few hotels in the Orangeburg, SC worthy of a stay, at least right off of 26 and 601. The Holiday Inn appears clean, but there’s an unpleasant odor in the hotel lobby, room and elevator. A search through TripAdvisor for pet friendly hotels indicates this hotel is pet friendly. It’s not. We booked before our traveling companions (with pet) found this out. They’re staying at Country Inn Suites across 601. It appears to be a nicer hotel. The cost of this room (around $150) is not anywhere near a good value. Go to a different city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Enjoyed our short stay very much.

Arrival 01-04-20, Room # 103, No advance reservation. Busy place but got a 1st floor king late in the evening with no trouble. Room has been updated with a lot of thought put into the layout and furnishings. As usual with the Holiday Inn Express renovations, the bathroom is good but not as updated as the bedroom. I wish they could change out the old tile and other things but probably too expensive. The early evening lady at the front desk (Ashley, I think) was very nice and went out of her way to be exceptionally helpful, very professional in every way. The morning lady was also very nice as well. Both were happy and friendly. Staff at these places can make or break the place and these two represented their employer in a very fitting manner. Ice machine is on the second floor, we were on the first floor, unacceptable. Would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Holiday Inn Express Orangeburg, SC

To begin with, I accidentally was one day off with my reservation. When my cell phone notified me of the charge, I realized my mistake. I called the hotel and the young lady on the phone changed our reservation. We enjoyed our stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
