Coronavirus

Hotel would not refund cancelled business stay when conference was cancelled due to coronavirus. Cancellation was made over a month in advance. Corporate headquarters says it is up to the hotel at the location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wouldn't refund over a month in advance over Coronavirus

Mar 10th, 2020

I tried to cancel a business reservation to a conference over a month in advance. The conference was cancelled due to Coronavirus. They charged my credit card and wouldn't refund. Corporate says that you have to speak to hotel directly. I purchase Hotel Reservations for our organization, and will be using other hotel chains. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceeded Expectations!

Nov 26th, 2019

We stayed at this location following a Redskins game. We booked a suite for myself, my husband and three children. The morning of my stay I received a text message welcoming me and asking if there was anything I was going to need during my stay. I was grateful for the text message because I had forgotten to request a rollaway bed. I messaged back with my request and when we arrived the bed was right there in the room. I also requested more towels shortly after checking in and they were brought to me immediately. The room was spacious, immaculate and the beds comfortable. We had to check out really early the next morning to drive home. As we were leaving the front desk attendant (I regret that I didn't catch his name) graciously offered to open up the breakfast bar so that my kids could get some milk and cereal for the road. All the staff i came in contact with were very professional and and had excellent customer service. I certainly would stay at this property again and urge others to do the same. Could have been great, but ...

Nov 5th, 2019

They would not honor my elite status on their rewards program, they served a below average breakfast, and they experienced some sewer problems during my visit that made the check out less than favorable. The staff was not very accommodating, they also ran out of bottled water to sell in their limited pantry, I won’t return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent hotel on east side of DC.

Jun 28th, 2019

My wife and I stayed 1 night with a "3 day advance" member reservation. After lunch at Bagel Place in College Park, we drove 9 miles southeast on Rt 202 to this hotel at the junction of I-495. Stopping under the front portico, we entered the clean spacious lobby to check in. It was quick and easy at 2:45 PM with Eddie, who processed the $136.44 room charge with my registered Visa, then presented our key card with WiFi info, before suggesting the rear parking using the convenient side door. 2 elevators accessed our spacious 2nd floor king. The carpeted room had a comfortable bed with a pair of 2 drawer nightstands, opposite to a center credenza containing a large refer, micro and dresser drawers and a large 40 channel flat screen on top. Near the window was a table/desk with a Keurig unit(both coffee and tea in decaf/regular), and a comfortable couch with a large coffee table. Behind the built in closet(with ironing set) was the fully outfitted tiled bathroom with a bathtub shower unit but lacking a fan in its vent. There were many lamps and outlets along with an automatic climate control unit where the fan mitigated the constant freeway hum of truck traffic. We did not use the clean indoor pool. The 6-10 AM well serviced breakfast was complete with fruit, OJ, cereals, oatmeal, breads, cinnamon buns, pancakes, hot foods(scrambled eggs, grits and biscuits, bacon/turkey sausage), yogurt, and excellent coffee/tea. This nice 85 room hotel is convenient to access the U of M College next door, the Largo Medical Center 1.2 miles southeast, the Fed Ex Field 2 miles west, and the Capital Center 2 miles south.
