Mold & lies!
Aug 16th, 2019
Do NOT be fooled by the beautiful face of this hotel. Once greeted and assigned a room; you will then play their game of “finding the correct room that doesn’t smell like mold!” Once you arrive to that room, you’ll notice that even though your reservation was clearly made with a clear guest count (family of 4.5 in my case), it’s equipped with the the standard amount of 2 guest towels. After this mention and still no towels, you’ll eventually take a shower only to notice that there isn’t soap!! Well, after that ordeal, you’ll wake up and notice that your child’s skin now has raised bumps. Finally (and thankfully), you’ll leave. BUT WAIT - It gets better!!! You’ll arrive home and when you check your bank statement, you’ve been overcharged. Get this!!! Charged for having an animal in the room (even though you don’t own one)! Mind BLOWN! So, after the multitude of issues have now taken place, you’ll finally reach out to a customer representative only to be ignored for days. Yes, days. Multiple calls, an email and finally as a last resort - a bad review. This is my experience. An experience I wish on no one else. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not Worth It
Aug 8th, 2019
My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights in the beginning of August. We were "upgraded" to a King suite and had a pullout bed for our kids to sleep in. Terrible mistake. The pullout was stained, old and very uncomfortable. The kids had a hard time sleeping in the worn out and flat mattress. We were given multiple mattress pads and comforters to cushion the mattress but we can still feel the cross bar underneath. This was very unfortunate after a long day and all you want is a good night's rest. We were told that we could switch rooms the next day but that was not the case. The following morning, after the kids complained about the pullout, we requested to be moved to a 2 queen room but they were booked. I was asked to call around 3:30 (while we were at an amusement park) to see if anyone cancelled. It was a hassle, but I did call anyway only to be told that we were out of luck and we can have MORE comforters to cushion the bar. We used a lot of points to book this stay and wished that we just stayed somewhere else - for comfort alone. The staff was really courteous and excellent but the quality of the beds just need to be upgraded. When a room is listed to sleep 4, that should GUARANTEE sleeping EVERYONE comfortably. After being out and about all day during vacation, it should be the least of our worry how we were going to sleep that night or even make a phone call out of our way just to find "something better". We've never experienced staying at a hotel and having a problem with beds, convenience or comfort so this was disappointing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Hotel Room
Jun 26th, 2019
I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Tampa Telecom Park when in the area on business. I was welcomed warmly by the front desk and given a fantastic room. It was spacious with a king bed, desk, and sitting area. I didn’t hear any sounds from the adjacent rooms during my entire stay. The place was also extremely clean. The breakfast was phenomenal! I particularly enjoyed the biscuits with butter and jelly. When I returned to the hotel after work, there was a table set up with complementary snacks and drinks which I enjoyed very much. The only major downside was that I requested late checkout, but my card key automatically quit working at the check out time locking me out of my room. The front desk was unmanned at the time and it delayed my departure. On the minor side, there is only one small elevator for the whole hotel which is shared with housekeeping. The wait times for the elevator were lengthy. I only paid an average of $83 per night for the room which was a fantastic value. Overall, this is a good hotel which I will plan to return to on future Tampa trips. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I was a bit reluctant to stay by the reviews but I’m glad I choose here! Amazing welcoming staff upon arrival! House keeping kept our room clean and stocked with towels. The pool and Jacuzzi was CLEAN and enjoyable to relax in. Stayed on the first floor and it was very quite even with kids running down the hallway it wasn’t overly loud. Close to adventure island and bush gardens theme park. The ONLY down side of the rooms was the carpet. The carpet is VERY STICKY! I would suggest a carpet cleaning or recarpeting ASAP. We never walked barefoot so please pack flip flops or house shoes to walk around the room in. I would still stay gain sticky carpet and all! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I liked this hotel. The staff was friendly. The property was clean and in good order, although my room had a couple of things that needed a handyman's attention. My room was spacious and quiet - even though it overlooked the pool there was little outside noise to be heard. The desk had plenty of space, but needed more outlets. WiFi service was fast and reliable. Breakfast was the usual free offering with the addition of pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Definitely have the cinnamon rolls! I was surprised to see a Happy Hour was held Monday-Wednesday evenings. There was no notice of it so I missed it each time. As far as I could tell, there was no Happy Hour on Thursday.
