Perfect family time

stayed here with my family including in laws and everything was great no complaints. holiday inn got us all rooms on the same floor and most of them were neighbors. i enjoyed the breakfast very much. sleep quality was decent being that i was not sleeping in my house. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not up to standard

The room had a musty moldy smell, the hall was hot when I exited the elevator. Sign in elevator says left us know how we did. I told the front desk and just got an "I'm sorry". For 160.00 a night I don't think so.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dead bug on the floor. Carpet is stained. Bathroom is the size of a closet. Mattress is way too hard. Housekeeping starts knocking on doors at 9am (even though check out is 11am). Way over priced for the quality. It’s an older hotel with a coat of paint. Only plus is the hotel’s proximity to downtown. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

2 and a half hours and 15 phone calls

I was trying to change a reservation. It took me 2 1/2 hours and 15 calls to try to get the issue resolved. I gave the reps my phone number several times and none bothered to call me back once disconnected. One even promised 'no worries I got this' but never contacted me back. In the end I still did not know if everything was taken care off. Put in for someone in America to call me back, within 24 hours, doubt they will. I saved my points for over a year to pay for this trip and don't know if I will get my rooms after all. The reservations dept and customer service dept were both horrible. When I asked after the 12th call for some 'points" to compensate me the customer service rep said that she could but wouldn't. Another rep said she was going to give me some points, but got disconnected before she gave me any. Dealing with IHG was almost as bad as dealing with Time-Warner Cable, both call centers located in India. As a traveling rep I have choices and will be choosing another points program in the future. IHG lost a customer all over their lousy reservations and customer service dept. And I enjoyed staying at IHG in the past. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Standard Holiday Inn Express- No Frills

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Lenox Ave. with my son's athletic team. I had previously stayed at the Holiday Inn near Vanderbuilt and thought I would be staying there again, so my expectations were not where they should have been- that is on me. The Holiday Inn near Vanderbuilt is great- restaurant and bar in the lobby, live music is often played in the lobby and walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. The Lenox Ave. hotel was standard- small lobby and TINY fitness center with very old equipment. The rooms are nice and clean, but the area is lacking any frills. The pool is in the parking lot. The breakfast provided was very good- my kids loved the pancake maker. Eggs, cereal, yogurt...all was fresh and tasty. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
