Lovely, historic building in the heart of the French Quarter-- perfect!

Perfect location one block from Bourbon street-- quiet street, beautiful, historic building unlike any Holiday Inn ever. Fantastic early check in by Renee, who welcomed us warmly. The Concierge was also excellent and very willing to help. Our room was spacious enough and very comfortable, plus good wifi. We were right next to the elevator so we heard some sounds, but not bad. I wish the bathroom door didn't have a window-- made it bright during the night. No coffee in the room, and the free coffee in the lobby was very weak, but Cafe Beignet is right around the corner. We would not hesitate to recommend this unique, friendly, perfectly located hotel to anyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location!!

Jul 28th, 2019

Hotel is just a block off of bourbon street. We had a balcony and couldn’t really hear the bourbon street noise or smell. Easy walking distance to everything in the Quarter. Clean room, and very kind staff. Loved the valet parking just across the street with guards. Never felt unsafe. Staff was very accommodating when we had to shorten our stay due to weather in the area. Would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location! Updated Hotel, with lovely historical architecture.

Jul 25th, 2019

We stayed at the Chateau Lemoyne for 6 days mid-July from check-in to check out our stay was wonderful. The location is convenient to the streetcar, or you can walk through the French Quarter if you're into the beautiful architecture as we are. The staff was really kind and accommodating. The property is beautiful and all areas clean. Our check-in (which was early, a welcome surprise!) was quick and very easy. Everyone we encountered, from Valet, housekeeping even onsite maintenance was friendly. I have spent 25 years in hospitality, so I can be a bit demanding about what I want in a hotel and what I expect. I also realize MY attitude is everything when dealing with any problems having dealt with the public sector and guest relations. I have to admit this wasn't my go-to hotel I use when in New Orleans. I chose them because of the pool and being July I knew we'd use it. I also chose them as "laundry was available"- not true, dry cleaning send out is available, a big difference when you're only traveling with carry-on luggage in July. I found the advertising on trip advisor, and Expedia slightly misleading when stating "amenities". NO breakfast at this hotel (which is stated in advertising) and coffee is only available in the lobby in the morning. I am sure once the restaurant reopens on property this will change. I have to admit I missed the complimentary coffee in the afternoon where I usually stay. I realize I'm in a minority but I wake up ridiculously early (between 4:30-5 A.M.) and don't want to wake others in the room, so I like to be able to either go out into a well lit, safe area for a walk for coffee or have it available to me. The room was spacious enough for 2, super clean, mini fridge included. No microwave in the room, unfortunately, although it was down the hall by vending (We were on the 4th floor, pretty far from vending/ice area). Kurig only in room. The rooms are surprisingly well insulated from noise which was wonderful, very quiet. Next time I would request a room with a balcony. I'd recommend this hotel for Alan, the morning concierge especially for anyone visiting New Orleans for the first time. He's a people person, gets fantastic deals for guests and reads people well. We really enjoyed speaking with him while we vacationed. I also promised I'd give a shout out to Ronald who was most important to me, he put the coffee out in the morning and is a super nice person. The only other negative I observed there were a couple of front desk people that didn't seem to want to be there period. This is kind of a turn off when you're in hospitality and you're representing a brand that depends on return guests. Other than that we would stay there again because of the other staff and the location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
