New Years Eve

Jan 2nd, 2020

From check in knew there was gong to be issues, the check in was smooth but when asked questions about the fireworks on the bluff the desk person said only know what's going on around the hotel, and a smile would have cracked her face. No people skills at all. So the room was nice but when we went to use the fridge, someone prior had left a package of blueberries in the fridge which leaked all over the fridge. Not sure who long they were there but you would have thought housekeeping would have seen the mess and cleaned it up. Would think someone would check on house keeping, Also only one elevator was working and when getting ready to leave took forever to get on. Parking is limited and you have to use the city ramp attached to the building. Breakfast is available but at a cost. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Many successful stays here

Jan 1st, 2020

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times, and certainly will plan to stay again in the future. The location is right downtown and many restaurants and bars are just a short walk away. The rooms have been recently remodeled and we have never had concerns with any of the amenities or cleanliness. Free parking is available in the municipal lot adjacent to the building - the hotel will give you a voucher for free parking so don't pay for it before you check-in. One drawback is no continental breakfast, but there are several great places located nearby. On our most recent stay, I booked a rate that included breakfast at the on-site restaurant and we were very satisfied with our food and drink there. When in the La Crosse area, this is my go-to for hotel stays. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No thanks

Dec 21st, 2019

Hotel is in a great location, rooms are pretty clean however if you're traveling with a pet DO NOT go here. 3+ years traveling worldwide with our well trained dog and they charged $50 just for her to stay one night. This is the first hotel we have ever had do this. All of the other pet friendly hotels in La Crosse do not charge this ungodly amount. I wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here. Definitely go with the hotel across the street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice place

Oct 15th, 2019

This hotel is very nice and right downtown by lots of restaurants, bars and shops. They offer 15 minute parking for unloading and then you have to park in a parking lot down the block, but they cover the cost for that. The check in and out was easy and my room was beautiful and spacious. I had the suite and there was plenty of room and a TV in each room. The shower head was amazing and therefore the shower was awesome. The bed was very comfortable. The room had everything you might want to stay cozy and comfortable. I did not like the curtains, as they had sheer curtains with no other thicker curtain to pull over the sheer ones and therefore you get blasted with the sun as soon as it is up, as the window faces east. They might want to fix that. Besides that the room was impeccable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quality Conference Alternative

Sep 24th, 2019

They ran out of rooms in the block for our convention across the street, but it worked out to our advantage to stay at the Holiday Inn. The bed was comfy and the recently remodeled facility made for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect for exploring Pearl’s for a cone, Big Al’s for pizza, and Buzzard Billy’s for Armadillo eggs! We were able to park in the street lot “by permit.” No complaints here. Not a fantastic view from our room, but after cropping, I got this sunrise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
