Don't go to this hotel

Aug 6th, 2020

The lobby in Tampa had a sign posted about the "extra cleaning" being done due to COVID-19. My husband is a cancer patient at Moffitt and has a compromised immune system. This place was absolutely disgusting. The room wasn't properly cleaned. Still had someone's jeans in the closet, bobby pins on the floor so obviously wasn't vacuumed, only one cup for coffee, one decaf and one regular coffee pod. I asked for another regular coffee pod and was told she couldn't find any so I had to go buy some. Door between bedroom and living area was off the track and useless. My socks were filthy after wearing them in the room part of the day. We used the beach towels I brought to sit on the couch. Tables by the pool had not been wiped off and were dirty. I am so glad I brought our own sheets, pillows and towels. One bed smelled of urine. I also brought disinfectant spray and paper towels to clean all surfaces before putting anything on them. not the best stay.

Aug 2nd, 2020

The saddest part was this was a trip my youngest daughter wanted to go on so she could see bush gardens. It was part of a package deal with the tickets.Upon getting there the first reception girl was brisk and rude.I told her i needed to be where i would not be where i needed to go up and down stairs etc because of medical conditions. She put us on the 3rd floor far from the hotel room.It was a long walk carrying things. Then i was not told about the 100 dollar incidental charge till i saw it on the second day on my account.I went back to the hotel and a different receptionist was there that explained everything and was very nice, but she said the better hotels do that(i stayed at the ramada that had a convention hall,arcade,2 pools etc.this is not the best hotel..that one was and they charge 50.)she was also very nice and said she was sorry about the room problem, but i was not about to move rooms after the kids already unpacked,Then there was the problem of the pool was so over crowded my daughter never got to go swimming because there was about over 20 kids in it the first and second day with only 2 parents watching them.People were smoking in front of their room had a lipstick mark on the mirror and the first roll of toilet paper was half gone.Wich means that the rooms were not cleaned properly.Thank god i came with cleaning supplies because during corona we don't want it.It is a shame that it couldn't of been a better hotel.I don't think we will be staying there upon our next visit.I think i shall go with a better hotel closer to the park next time. Short but pleasant stay

Jul 20th, 2020

I flew into Tampa to come work as a COVID response nurse, my flight arrived late and my rental car fell through so I had to find a way to the hotel. I called the front desk to let them know I would be arriving late and KeKe answered. She was simply fantastic, got me checked in over the phone so that when I arrived I could go straight to my room after a brief stop for the keys. The room was an average king bed. Nothing fancy, but the service I received from KeKe made my stay fantastic. She was even there the next morning upon checkout and was still incredible. Thank you for the nice stay KeKe! Dead bird and dirty underwear

Mar 18th, 2020

Pros: Close to Busch Gardens. They provide a shuttle if you need it. Our room was large. Cons: Dated property - although I believe it was recently renovated. We stayed here for one night. Check in was easy. We attempted to use one of the stairways and there was a dead pigeon (?) in it. We chose another stairway, and my kids noticed ladies undies on the ground. We did inform the front desk, who said they would take care of it. It was still there later that evening. Also it was advertised that breakfast was included, but for us, the adults had to pay. Not sure if it was due to COVID-19. I would choose to stay elsewhere next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to stay

Mar 16th, 2020

My husband and I stayed one night in March while traveling to see my mom in failing health. We didn’t know what to expect and found a really charming hotel with beautiful pool and great burger place on site. The staff was so cheerful it felt like family. Rocky and Fernando served us a great flatbread pizza that hit the spot. Keke, Tinesha, and Edline were so sweet to us, I could have talked to them for hours. What a great crew you have here, please inform more people about the restaurant on site. Cute and good food. All staff was not just courteous but went out of their way to make us feel at home. I really needed it. They really cheered me up. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
