Short walk to Beale Street

Jun 15th, 2019

This is a nice hotel to stay when visiting Beale Street. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, easy walk to Beale Street, yet far enough away that you don't get a lot of noise. the restaurant was not open during our stay and breakfast is not included as in many Holiday Inn Express hotels. We parked across the street in the parking garage saving us $30 from the Valet for our 2 night stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The kindest and most thoughtful people i have ever met

Jun 14th, 2019

The title says it all really, too many names that i could type in but special thanks to Lamariar ( hopefully spelt your name correctly) who was so kind to me and my son especially after our trip to Graceland, and Manuel who drove us around in the courtesy vehicle. we found the place to be clean and well presented and the food, including the breakfast, very good indeed. The first night the TV remote would not work, so my son went to reception, before he got back etc maintainance man was at our door-i incredible service. Make sure you get the cab driver called Nita, who we found to be the most entertaining and knowledgable person where like Lamariar nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally placed for the main attractions-Sun Studios, Beale Street , Mississippi river , National Civil Rights Museum and the Pyramid .Many thanks TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Totally miserable stay dont stay here.

This hotel is very badly managed. Thee are insufficient staff to provide the service including organising check in. We were travelling as part of a Titan group, arrived late afternoon and rooms not ready. Some were double allocated, hence walked in on other residents. Only one person managing the bar and restaurant of an evening yet 6 or 7 managing breakfast. Asked for rubber shower mat which I never received and considering we stayed in a disabled room, I am surprised no accidents reported. Totally unsuitable for a disabled person as no towel rails etc, shower like a skating rink. Rooms tired. Never again. DONT STAY HERE TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NOT recommended

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location - right across the road from the Peabody and within walking distance of Beale Street, however the rooms are shabby and the walls are paper thin - we could hear the people in the room next door yawning and I actually banged on the wall to ask them to turn down there TV polllllllllse!. The housekeeping is a joke - we stayed for 3 nights, when we arrived I asked for some extra coat hangers - I had to ask 3 times before I got them - after the 1st night we didn't get a service, when I rang housekeeping they said that the maid had missed our room. The next day we came home to a laughable service i.e. the bed looked like it had just been pulled up rather than made and we have no clean towels or soap etc. when I rang housekeeping they sent someone up with 2 bath towels but no face cloths eeeeek. The breakfast was good and the staff in the dining room were nice but I really think you could do better for accommodation in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed at this hotel on June 1st because I was doing hair for a wedding across the street at The Peabody. I called the day before to see if I could check in early because I had to be at the Peabody at 10 to start doing hair. The lady told me she couldn’t promise early check in. I was ok with that. So we got there at around 9:30 and they told us that we couldn’t check in that early. They told us to come back at 1:30. So my husband dropped me off to do the wedding. He goes back at 1:30 and they tell him he has to come back at 3:00. I get a call at 3:00 that they still don’t have a room for us. We reserved a king room(which we didn’t get!) We ended up in a double bed room. So we get in the room finally and I go to take a shower and there’s no hot water or face towels. In the middle of my cold shower I reach over to put the soap on the soap holder and there isn’t one! WTF! My husband was pissed! He went down to the desk and complained and all they could do was give him a free breakfast! We will never stay here again! That was the first and last time! Great location but horrible hotel!
