Surprise Gem!

Jul 10th, 2019

This Holiday Inn is bright and new and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. (River view costs a little extra but still quite reasonable for all you get.) Ana on the front desk was particularly helpful during our stay. Great quiet location with an easy walk to downtown. The hotel had a friendly atmosphere and even truly terrific wilderness photography on the hallway walls. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The perfect location

Jul 9th, 2019

We stayed here last year for a reunion and then returned this year because of several reasons. The location to the downtown area is great, everything is within walking distance. It’s right on the river, so the view is very nice. And the room was comfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is a newly remodeled hotel. It was great. Lobby is vast with breakfast area and other areas. The bed in the bedroom was amazing. Maybe the best sleep ever. Love the pillows. Great location. Would certainly stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Multi-Event Masterpiece

May 23rd, 2019

I attended the 2019 Civil Air Patrol Montana Wing Conference here, the same weekend as Maggotfest (world-famous rugby tournament). I can guarantee you, proof-positive, the hotel was full to bursting. You would expect that a hotel full of Civil Air patrol Cadets and dignitaries, as well as a decent bus full of incredibly intoxicated rugby players, would be not only loud but unkempt. I didn't hear a thing. Slept through the night like a child. Not only were the rooms quiet, the appearance of the hotel was sparkling. The staff was moving non-stop to meet all the needs of the inhabitants, and all without causing any kind of interruption to daily events. On check-in, there was a minor issue (I take the blame for this) obtaining multiple room keys, but this resolved itself in under five minutes. The desk staff were incredibly polite and good-humored. There is no "continental-style" breakfast; the lower level hosts a restaurant, and there is a cafe near the main entrance. I strongly recommend Ruby's Cafe; its about a 6 minute drive and has a homestyle feel. The parking is controlled; there is a parking garage and a lot surrounding the property. Because of our event, we didn't pay parking, so I'm not sure of rates. You can use your room key to open gates to parking. Walking distance to the downtown area, which hosts a large number of restaurants, a distillery, wine shoppe, and other attractions. We did see one pet dog in the hotel, can't answer any questions regarding pets as we brought none. There is a walking path behind the hotel with a large grassy area and trees, perfect for kids or pets. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Upgrades

May 10th, 2019

We've stayed here several times in the past, and the recent updates were very nice. Convenient location makes downtown, River Trail, and University very walkable. Room very comfortable. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Not the cheapest hotel, but a good value in my book. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
