Cheap motel masquerading as a full service hotel

Feb 22nd, 2020

Let's see... Paper thin walls. I have never been so tired. 4 nights of zero sleep. No curtains. Seriously. No curtains. Just blinds. The room was lit up like a Christmas tree every night from the outside. The hot tub was just that. A hot tub. No jets, just lukewarm water. Yay! Bath with strangers. The restaurant was non-existent. Supposedly the chef has gallstones or something. Apparently he is the only guy who can cook in the entire state. Coffee came from a machine, like the kind you put quarters into but it was free. I mean, really? You need a chef to brew coffee? If you cannot give people a good nights sleep they kind of need coffee. I complained several times and was met with shrugs. What about the Hospitality Guarantee? Nah, they wont honor it. Dig deep into those pockets and give them your cash. Or buy a tent and just stay in the parking lot, it is the same experience. Excelent staff, not so nice installations

Feb 14th, 2020

All 3 points were earned by the staff hospitality and service, Jalni, Brandon and Tashina were always eager to help and answer with everything. Otherwise, it needs a make over soon, elevator didn't worked, key cards were constantly demagnetized (had to go to front desk almost every night), only one dryer and one laundromat worked, and had an false alarm go off on a friday night, presumably due to the work on the elevator. The cleaning staff were also nice and helpful, and it's in a good location, close to some marketplaces and the highway. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible and going downhill

Oct 22nd, 2019

I have stayed at this property at least 8 times in the past year. The rooms are decent and they have great rates. But the hotel has been going downhill. They no longer have a restaurant or a bar. No food except terrible breakfast. This morning had to take a cold shower because the hotel had no hot water. This afternoon the internet stopped working. As an IHG platinum member the customer support people said the GM would be calling me today. It's 8PM and still no call. They offered me $25 discount for not having hot water. I will no longer stay at this IHG property. Was a nice gem in the past now run terribly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Noisy, Shopworn

Aug 25th, 2019

First impression: not-so-great neighborhood, and no signs directing Guests to correct entrance for check-in. Inside, air conditioning for front desk area not working, hotel restaurant closed, and it doesn't look like a temporary closure, either. I booked through a 3rd party vendor, so that may have something to do with getting assigned one of the worst rooms in the house: next to a swimming pool full of shrieking, screaming kids. Even the nosiy A/C couldn't drown out the clamor, which got even worse when someone cranked up a stereo system blasting some of Mexico's finest thumping Bass. I needed to wind down, but the music and screaming went on for over 6 hours. Internet access was painfully slow, then it crashed altogether. Plenty of door slamming through the building, and my room adjoined the room for a delicate man who pitched fits and slammed doors/hit the wall went I moved and my bed squeaked. Overall, the place has seen better days. There is no excuse for putting guests on one entire side of he building through the extended noise exposure which occurred that evening. Great location in The Valley

Aug 19th, 2019

Upon checking in we were greeted with friendly, helpful staff who were eager to please. The room was well kept, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable as well and we had great sleeps while we were there. Wifi was good. The pool area was nice and the pool was refreshing. Breakfast was available but we didn’t use it. Fitness centre was good and the equipment was well maintained. The location was great to access the outlet shops at Anthem, Tempe Beach Park and Salt River Tubing (using Loops 101 and 202). I would definitely stay again if I was in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
