Amazing view in a safe and very friendly establishment

Jul 30th, 2020

I felt very safe. One can see that every space, room and even the elevator are taken care of so one can feel at home and in a safe environment. The reception staff Sofia and Alexandre were extremely professional and very supportive and friendly as I was alone due to a health problem. I felt that if I had needed something, they would provide me with whatever I needed. Thank you both of them for their help. I will certainly recommend this hotel not only because it has an exceptional view of the city but also because it is worth the money. Finaly, the hotel offers a very reasonable variety of breakfast options considering the safety conditions! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A good business experience

Jan 11th, 2020

Good for business meetings although not really in central Porto. It is clean and efficient and is of Holiday Inn worldwide standards. No complaints. I had a pleasant stay. The hotel restaurant is pretty average. The lobby war is lively. This is a good place to plan a business trip from. It's very near the tram network. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A different side of Porto

Dec 4th, 2019

My fifth trip to Porto. I decided to stay at three IHG brand hotels starting here, then the Crowne Plaza and the last night at the Intercontinental where we usually stay. This hotel is on the other side of the Douro river. I had the 20th floor with a river view. I was upgraded as a Spire Elite Ambassador staus Great staff throughout the hotel including the lady that gave me walking directions to Cockburns Port warehoude that I visited before. I lost the card with her name and I feel bad because she was so helpful. It was a quick fifteen minute downhill walk and probably a fortyfive minute slog uphill after some port tastings! Take a cab. The room was very spacious, immaculate bath and lotsa towels. Coffee/tea kettle with the little cream cups which they brought extra one up for me when requested.TV with CNN. Nice bar. The hotel is the least expensive of the three and is in a nice neighborhood. The was a Cervacaria restarant thee blocks away with great food at reasonable prices.Cabs or metro/bus are reasonable for the budget minded. Would recommend this to families. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly hotel

Dec 2nd, 2019

Good hotel, very friendly staff always willing to help and find a solution, good value for money. Relatively close to the Port Wine Museums and the River Douro. If you have a room facing Oporto, at night it is very nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice comfortable rooms

Nov 25th, 2019

As usual when staying in Porto for business I will book the Holiday Inn. First reason the very friendly staff. Second reason spacious rooms and third reason they have a great restaurant. Value for money. However one point of advice for the hotel management. Start thinking to refurbish the rooms. Still acceptable but within a short time it won’t be anymore.
