Gas station food at fine dinning prices

Jun 22nd, 2020

Service was awful. Food inedible. If you want to stay here, which I don't recommend you do, you will need to bring your own food and/or plan to leave the resort for meals. Don't waste your money on the restaurants - you will have to ask for service and then will be HIGHLY disappointed in the food and your bill... The only reason I gave this "resort" 2 stars is because of the entertainment provided and the quality of the hotel room. Those were pluses. We will not stay here again and I highly recommend you look elsewhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love HIPCB ~ lots to do but a little pricey

Jun 16th, 2020

We had a wonderful time at our stay at Holiday Inn Resort PCB! The amenities included are phenomenal. Concerts, nightly dive inn movies, Polynesian Fire Dancers, water park /splash pad, and pools are all amazing. Construction of the lazy river was going on but it was not loud or messy by any means. The workers were great at keeping everything contained in their space. Wouldn’t even know they were there unless you are on your balcony. Loved the smaller pool that was warmer than the large main pool. There is a hot tub but we didn’t use it. Splash pad/water park was perfect for all kid age ranges and loved that these water amenities were open late (midnight). Also love that there are digital clocks by the pools. There is a shark mascot which walks around - super cute. There are plenty of restaurants on site. We did not dine due to bringing our own lunch and went out for dinner. There are servers walking around the pool for drinks and food which was nice. Drinks were great. Lobby was well kept, spacious and very clean. There was a beautiful fish tank in the main hall and someone constantly cleaning the wet floor. Room was spacious for being a ‘hotel’ room. Beds were decently comfortable. Pillows and linens were great. Really, really, really wish you had true condo rooms. Bathrooms were decent size, modern and updated... loved the glass shower. Balcony was great with a good view. Could even see movie and concerts from balcony. Elevators were fast with very minimal waiting upon check in and out and throughout stay. Parking is available across the street and there is a tunnel under the road that allows you to stay off the main road when walking to your car. A shuttle is also provided to take you between the resort and your car but it is truly a short walk. As for cost... We paid same price for a condo at Splash for 7 nights compared to HIPCB for 4 nights. Taking into count the amenities I do believe the price is slightly high but pretty fair. I would wish to see more deals or better rates in the future. About one mile walk from the pier (not pier park) and very close to lots of restaurants and small shops. It is in the heart of the town. Overall a wonderful place just pricey especially if you are going to just “relax” and not do much. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clovid Season..

Jun 5th, 2020

Don't bother placing the do not disturb sign on door. They not coming to your room to clean or give fresh towels unless you request it. For the amount spent, I would have thought they would do something else. Besides the tenants above us throwing trash on our deck .. it was ok. We will find another place in the future ... maybe come back for the lazy river ...that's it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loved it! Great Hotel on the Beach

Jun 1st, 2020

My husband and I went for a romantic getaway last week. Check in was easy and the guy at the desk was super friendly. Our room was on the 14th floor, gulf view, and the view was amazing! The pool, hot tub, and lounge areas were very nice. We are looking forward to going back when the lazy river is completed. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No coffee in the AM “go to waffle house”

May 31st, 2020

Lower level service. This used to be a guest based customer service hotel. There is no coffee available in the lobby at all. When I asked they said the restaurant opens at 6:30 or you can go to Waffle House. The in room coffee maker was never restocked. If fact received no service at all. Not what a guest wants to hear when paying premium prices at the beach. Had better service at motel 6. Parking is a Across the street. It’s a long walk to entrance. They used to have golf cart service for guests. They only had 1 golf cart running in the day time and none at night. This is a bit scary for a family with small children at night.
