Do not recommend

Do not recommend, very dirty. Bathroom without ventilation, always wet. Lamps shades with mold. Balcony with old cigars. Elevators without air conditioner and dirty. Carpets with stains and smell bad. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It is nothing like your ordinary Holiday Inn - think twice before booking here

If I would have to describe my overall experience in this hotel in one word I would say “Disappointing”. I have stayed in this chain in other places and in general every other Holiday Inn is an executive, clean and quiet hotel. This particular one only has the “Holiday Inn” logo and that’s it; I didn’t get the executive, clean and quite experience. The hotel was dirty, old and unattended. My carpet had questionable red stains and I found cereal bites under the bed as well as hair in my sheets and towels, which was disgusting. Every time I stepped into the elevator I thought I was gonna get trapped in there -super old and it made loud and alarming noises-. They forgot to do the cleaning of my room once during my stay -they did handled that after my complaint-. You do get free parking if you need it. Jennifer was super nice and very charming at check in. Not everything was wrong; Jenniffer was super nice and charming at check in; also, the day I was leaving, I asked for late check out and they were very friendly and helpful; also, check out was really quick and easy. ***Expect to be disappointed*** this hotel is rated with an 8.5 diamond rating through AAA. I have no idea how this hotel achieved this rating but I am here to warn anyone who is considering booking this hotel please BEWARE. This Holliday Inn looks as though it barely survived a flood or two. The bathroom was horrible, the fixtures were rusted and it appeared to be a very low budget attempt at repairing the damage done to our room. It smelled like it had mold, and the lamps/light fixtures were even rusted out. On top of the issues with the room, the service there was HORRENDOUS to say the least. We checked in a little after 9 pm on 7/29/19 and my daughter was starving we were exhausted from traveling all day and decided to call the front desk to see if there was anyway someone could bring down some plastic utensils. The gentleman at the front desk said no problem we waited an hour nobody ever showed up, we called back up to the front desk his response was let me check on that for you... he never followed up with us nor did we ever receive the utensils. We had to bathe with shower shoes because the restroom was that disgusting. The room was not cleaned properly as you can see from the pictures/video attached. The following morning 7/30/19. I went down to the front desk to speak with someone about our accommodations the night before. As I explained the conditions of our room she acted like she was looking my information up to give an adjustment to the price and quickly advised that there was nothing she could do because we booked through Priceline (which was a blatant lie because I booked through AAA) she then advised that all she could offer us was a free breakfast. The woman at the front desk was very unprofessional making rude comments about the other staff members working in the dining area. After a mediocre breakfast we left and were halfway to our next destination and realized we left our iPad in the room. We called the hotel to see if anyone cleaning our room had found the iPad. The woman working the front desk said no one turned anything in. We called back 10 minutes later gave her our room number, more details about where we left the iPad exactly and our phone number basically pleading with her to give us a call back if she heard anything, we called back for the (3rd time) the woman at the front desk advised us that they stripped the room down and was unable to find it. I immediately rushed back to the hotel as soon as I arrived I inquired about my iPad again she pulled it out of the drawer at the front desk. I was enraged at this point because she could’ve simply called us to let us know that she was able to locate the iPad. I makes me wonder what would she have done with my iPad if we weren’t able to return. Avoid this Holiday Inn at ALL cost. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mold made me sick.

I woke up with sore throat & coughing the first morning. The carpet in the room stayed wet. My clothes were damp after hanging in the room. Shower dirty & drain clogged. After taking a shower and walking across the carpet, my feet were black! We did not stay for our intended 4 nights. We checked out after 1 night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Walkable to many locations but average rooms

My spouse and I stayed 2 nights. Pros: If you like to walk, you can reach the Riverwalk or places like Market Square within 10-15 minutes. I think the hotel provides a shuttle as well. The bathroom and sheets were clean. This is a fairly affordable option for the area and if you have a vehicle with you the parking is free (many hotels in the area charge so be sure to check when booking). Cons: The room constantly felt damp (as did the whole building). In fact, when we went to the next destination of our roadtrip we noticed that all our clothing felt wet when we unpacked at the next hotel. Perhaps each room and common areas could have dehumidifiers? It made us feel gross constantly in the room. The check-in process was very slow (we waited in line 20 minutes and then checking in took another 10) so they might need more staff during busy times. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
