Holiday Inn Review

Jul 12th, 2020

Our only complaint during our stay was with the a/c. The a/c unit is ONLY set up to run automatically and NOT constantly. Made for a very uncomfortable and restless/hot sleep. All rooms are like this. However, on a positive note, Sidney, chief engineer for Holiday Inn, attempted to troubleshoot our a/c unit but determined he was unable to configure the settings. Sidney was very friendly and professional and kudos to him for trying to "fix" our complaint. Very clean rooms. Refrigerator not cold. Mold/Mildew on interior bottom shower curtain. First trip to St Augustine

Jul 5th, 2020

This was our first trip to St Augustine so we were unsure about the location of anything in relation to the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised how close it is to everything. Overall the hotel is excellent the room was immaculate equipped with microwave and refrigerator. Due to COVID-19 the restaurant is only open for dinner. The front desk staff were exceptional providing us with a wealth of information about the hotel and the city. Each day they called for the courtesy shuttle for the old town trolley and were welcoming upon our return after a long day of sightseeing TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Car required

Very clean hotel. Sanitiser everywhere due to Covid. Also the rooms and communal areas are immaculate. The rooms are neither dated nor brand new. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. Downside: you need a car or Uber if you are are staying here to see st.augustine or the local sites. It’s too far a walk from any decent tourist spots. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfy Beds

Jun 27th, 2020

We rented this as we thought it was in the historic district. It's a mile walk. The hotel is nice, the most comfy beds at an IHG chain. Our refrigerator made noise all night and Joe from the front desk made it right. Front desk person at check in did not acknowledge our Platinum membership which all other IHG's do. She wasn't very friendly, but the room was lovely except for the refrigeration and pool compressor below our room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel was a pleasant surprise

Mar 23rd, 2020

I spent one night at this hotel on 2/29/20. I tend to treat myself when it comes to hotels and so I never stay at Holiday Inns. However my sister selected the hotel for this trip. This is a modest hotel. Probably 2 or 3 stars. What stands out about this Holiday Inn is the service. From check in to check out. I was checked in by Ron who was simply outstanding during the entire duration of our short stay. He should be recognized for the care he takes with the guests. I was also impressed when I was in the elevator and this young employee who didn't work directly with guests made a point of being polite and very courteous. I was really surprised by that given her age and role at the hotel. Not what I would have expected at a Holiday Inn or any other in same price range. Clearly there is effective training taking place at this hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay. Oh and I have to mention....the bed was more comfortable than a lot of beautiful 5 star hotels I have stayed at internationally. I could have slept there all day. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
