Great location, nice hotel

Great location and nice property. Room was very clean, and we loved sitting on the lounge chairs watching the ocean and people on the boardwalk. My only complaint, and this may have to do with covid, is that the pool area didnt seem to be cleaned throughout the day. The pool was full of sand and we saw discarded water bottles, an orange peel, a band-aid (gross!!). Aside from that, I would stay here again and would recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great rates when comparing prices to other hotels, great location our room is oceanfront. That’s where the good ends and that is what the one star is for the rates and location. I made three requests prior to coming early check in, room next to my brothers family and a crib in our room. They were not able to fill any of my requests. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the 4pm check in but room was still not ready. I had to call down to the front desk 3 times to get the crib I requested when I booked my reservation. They told my brother when he arrived that he came later (7:30) so they had to give his room next to mine away. Aside from this the HVAC above the bed leaked water on you all night, some phones and lights did not work in the room and the pull out bed is so lumpy and stained your better of sleeping on the floor. The elevators are so small that lines form outside of them to get to your floor. You could be waiting a while for your turn to go up to your room. No I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and no I would not stay here again unless something drastically changes during the rest of our stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible experience, ruined our family vacation at the beach. Took over an hour to be checked in, was checked into 4 dirty rooms, staff didn't want to take ownership or responsibility for any issues. Assistant GM David was rude and disrespectful when dealing with us. Has no compassion or understanding when dealing with a frustrated guest. As a IHG Employee myself I understand things happen that is not in or control, but its our duty to fix the issues and keep our guest happy and satisfied, after all its not the guest fault that they where checked into 4 dirty rooms. I was appalled when the Assistant manager told my fiance and myself in front of our children that "because I was an employee and staying there on a employee rate there was nothing he could do for us and we either stayed in the "dirty" room or we could leave the hotel and get refunded for the night". I have never felt so disrespected before in my life, needless to say we ended up leaving the hotel and ruining our family vacation because we refused to stay in an establishment that didn't care for their guest. It shouldn't matter if I'm a guest staying on a regular rate or discounted rate or staying on reward points, no one should be treated the way my family and myself was treated. All that was giving was a refund for the horrible night (few hours) that we stayed, no service recovery was offered even after suggesting/mentioning it to Assistant GM. Was not the only guest downstairs complaining of being checked into a dirty rooms, one couple was downstairs's saying they went to bed and there was sand in between the bed sheets, obviously something needs to be done with the housekeeping department and they need further training on how to clean rooms as well as inspect rooms, this is unexceptionable especially during a pandemic. This Holiday Inn has failed to compile with the IHG Clean Promise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed here in Aug 2020 for a short family vacay. Enjoyed the view from our oceanfront room, but it was a bit of a walk from the elevators. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable, but it was ok for the time we were there. Be sure to ask for sheets/pillows/blanket if you plan on using the sofabed as no extras are in the room. My son really enjoyed the indoor pool. They also have 2 outdoor pools, but they were crowded the entire time we were there. The indoor pool not so much, so we were there when not on the beach. Not too many places to eat close by, but lots to eat if you drive a couple of blocks. They did offer a grab and go breakfast. Reasonably priced for the stay. Great family escape

We traveled as a family, two adults, one child, in August 2020 for three nights. We were pleased to be able to check-in early and were happy with cleanliness of the room. We chose this hotel because of the multiple pools, location on the less crowded end of the boardwalk, and indoor options for children in the event of rain. I appreciated the staffs' help and friendliness with any requests even in the midst of covid. Normally breakfast is not free but during covid they are offering a free grab and go breakfast buffet. I was disappointed to see a few people in line at the grab and go without masks, including two without shoes- ew! I do wish the staff had asked them to go back to their room to retrieve masks (and shoes!). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
