I have never in my life experience such unfriendly service from a front desk staff. I have worked in the service industry for 25 years and if any of my staff treated guest like I was treated they would be instantly fired. I was interrogated in such a demeaning manner at the front desk is as if I was asking to stay for free. I greeted the front desk staff with a smile and all I got was a frown. I felt as if I was discriminated Against because of my skin tone and the size of my family. After a week after the Florida band was lifted for non essential worker travel to Florida, the front desk arrogantly told me that he didn’t have to accept my reservation and they can maintain the band as long as they want and they are not hungry for business like the other hotels 😧. I was astonished because I had called in advance and was told all I needed was my essential worker ID upon check in. According to this American African Male staff I also need a letter of invitation to Florida in order to check in 😧. He continued to interrogate me asking me why I came to Florida and why did I bring my family.. just to consider the nerves of this man. If my family and I wasn’t so tired after a long flight I would have found another hotel instantly. I did however stayed the night and checked out the very next day. I spoke with the so call manager so claimed that the band had lifted that night I came 🤭 and I guest no one informed her arrogant staff. I paid $150 per night to experience such atrocity. Great location, convenient to the Spring Training ballparks. A few restaurants close by. Quiet area, did not hear traffic of other guests other than the occasional door closing very hard. Rooms and pool area really need a good cleaning. Very nice breakfast with lots of options and the evening social was a very nice suprise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed for three nights in a March, 2020. The staff was courteous, efficient, and friendly. Attributes I expect and see in Hilton properties. The breakfast is more than edible and the Happy Hour is okay. The problem with this hotel is its sad condition. I have stayed in many Hiltons and this is one of the worst. The lobby furniture is exceptionally dirty, as is the carpet in my room. The wooden desk in my room is worn and chipped. The shower door is dirty, and has mold around the edges. It is fully booked for MLB Spring Training so there is little or no incentive to spend the money to rehab this place. I, for one, will not return unless the entire facility is redone. I am diamond status level with Hilton. I am a "road warrior" and stay in a different hotel every week. Every week is a different city and different hotel. I always try to stay at Hilton properties. This particular property is in need of serious work. There were stains on the carpet, stains on the furniture....the handle bar of the shower was not anchored properly and slide up and down. Visible grim on the caulking of the shower door. I really hope that someone at Hilton corporate takes note of all these negative reviews and takes action to mitigate these issues ! First off, must say the gentleman at the desk last Sunday was terrific as were the ladies at happy hour. BUT the place needs major work...dirty lobby furniture, uninspiring dining area, filthy patio cushions and old patio chairs. They did bring in some new loungers this week but be wary..the bars are hard on your back. Suggestions: better lighting in suites, be sure to replace bulbs, clocks in bedrooms, SAFES in every room(there are none), flowers in outdoor pots, beach towels that dont look like oversized tea towels, and a regular vacuum of premises.
