Clean, friendly staff, good value

We recently stayed at this hotel with 2 kids - spacious room. Hotel and room were clean which made the stay feel safe. Staff was very good - pool is open and they have a good plan for safe use. Also appreciated the modified breakfast option. Highly recommend this hotel - I have stayed at others in the same area and this was my best experience so far. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great hotel and staff

My son and I stayed at the Homewood Suites for over 2 weeks so that he could quarantine before starting college (due to New York State requirements for people coming from out of state). The hotel was absolutely great. Nice living room and dining area with kitchenette and separate bedroom made for a very comfortable stay at a fairly reasonable price. The room setup was great for us both to be able to work (him on a summer class, me for my job) during the day and then relax watching TV and movies at night. The hotel provided a box breakfast each day with packaged items like an egg and sausage breakfast sandwich (to microwave in the room), cinnamon roll, fruit, and juice/milk with choices. We also ordered groceries from Wegmans down the street and they delivered to the lobby and we picked up the groceries completely contactless. Although we hardly saw any of the staff since we stayed quarantined in the room, everyone was extremely friendly on phone and would pick up our trash outside the room and drop off extra paper towels or other needs. Alex at the front desk was terrific and would drop off our breakfast order to our door most mornings so we didn’t even need to leave the room. Windows opened nicely to get fresh air and the air conditioning was great from wall vents (not those noisy units under the window like in some hotels). I would walk around the property in the evening to get some exercise (always staying distant from others with a mask) and it felt very safe and there is a pretty field and basketball court with picnic table behind the building. There is a lovely courtyard in the middle of the building with a fire pit. We never sat out in the courtyard unfortunately since there always seemed to be people sitting out without masks. My only irritation was the last two days after we had completed the quarantine and started circulating a bit more, we kept seeing guests in the halls and lobby without masks, even though there are signs everywhere saying to wear masks in public areas. Not the hotel’s fault, but come on people! Please have more courtesy to other hotel guests and employees serving you to wear a mask! It’s really not that hard to do for the few minutes when you are going to get ice or walking through the lobby before going to your car! Overall terrific hotel - just wish all of the guests were considerate of others. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I have stayed at this property several times over the past several years. Every time I have an outstanding experience. They have done an excellent job adapting to the current times. The property is extremely clean and you can choose to receive housekeeping but, only if you want your suite serviced. The breakfast is preorder and they have it ready when you tell them. They have done an excellent job with breakfast. Alex at the front desk is an associate that has been at the property for as long as I have been staying and is extremely helpful, caring and friendly. I always look forward to seeing him during our trips. If you come to this area for business or pleasure I would make this hotel your first choice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best hotel in Buffalo, New York

The best Hotel in Buffalo, quality vs. price, and the best hotel that I ever stayed! I like the place, and especially there is full kitchen, and refrigerator available. There is a good GYM that I work out as regular at home. The manager Mr. Frank is very professional, kind and considerate! All the stuff are very good and professional. I had the best experience for my frequently travel (two weeks per month). It is very helpful, and make you feel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Neighbor HOOD party
Mar 7th, 2020
I have 4 kids... Two sets of twins. Due to work, and since I'm a professional athlete, I travel quite a bit but usually without my family. Actually they have never stayed in a hotel. So I decided to surprise them by spending the weekend at a hotel to relax and just have fun in the pool, hot tub etc. I picked the homewood based on suggestion. The hotel rooms are decent and the girl who took my reservation at night was phenominal. She made the choice for me. So sweet. We checked in friday and had two connecting suites. That night was great. Pool and hot tub so much fun. Saturday kids had a basketball tournament. After the kids couldn't wait to get to the hotel. We went to the pool and there were at least 30 kids in the pool and 8-10 in the hot tub. ONE room was having a "peppa pig" birthday party. Adults and kids being let in through a back door propped open by a group of "adults" smoking... Whatever, and drinking alcohol. I told the kids we would wait. We checked every hour for 4 hours. More kept coming and going. None had wristbands. By 8pm, I had enough. We called the desk to complain and the supervisor was completely unaware of what was happening. Not 1 employee knew there was a neighborhood pool party happening. She claimed she told them to go to their rooms for wristbands but the kids had already started filing into the party room. She offered to keep the pool open later. My kids are young. Plus with that many kids under 5 with floaties in a hot tub? Im sure the ph level was changed. I just had enough. At 8pm I didn't want to be there anymore and said i was leaving and did not want to be charged for the night. The supervisor said she was not going to refund both rooms. I told her the reason I got the rooms was FOR the pool and hot tub. We live 5min away. And had she paid attention to what was happening in the hotel, the neighborhood party wouldn't have been happening. I mentioned as a pro athlete Ive stayed in many hotels and never experienced this. Especially after posting positively for the hotel to over 300,000 followers social media and probably led to many others wanting to do the same. I'd hate to have to blow them up online for completely disregarding guest safety by not monitoring the pool area or guests drinking, and doing drugs outside the door letting in a rediculous number of people when they had just 1 room. She said, "FINE i'll refund both rooms" and you can check out tomorrow. i told her I wasn't staying. I was leaving immediately. I then apologized for having to be that way but my special weekend was ruined. She said she honestly was "feeling a certain way" and just wanted me to leave since I "seem mad and are a pro wrestler." i don't even know where that came from. I asked why she assumed Im a wrestler. She said she didn't know but just wanted to do the refund so I could leave. AFTER THAT I went to another hotel and we will stay 2 more days. I told them what happened and they said it wasnt the first time they heard of people having parties like that there. So its a regular occurance. For that alone and how I was treated and lack of security I would never suggest the Cheektowaga Homewood to ANYONE. Well unless you want to get 1 room and entertain 30 kids while you get drunk and stoned without employees knowing whats happening TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
