Decent hotel cleaning staff need serious help!

This hotel was as expected, it was a little further from the venue we were at than I would have liked, no fault of theirs. The problems I had were up on arrival after a long day away, the room was a mess. The room was "cleaned" but it was a terrible job. beds were not made and they did not vacuum. Also when leaving we asked for a late checkout as a silver member and was denied the 2 hours I needed. This is a perk I never ask for by the way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely clean and convenient location. Excellent customer service. Need more heart healthy breakfast options like Turkey sausage and egg whites Omelets. Would also be nice to have Guest happy hour on weekends. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Many thanks to Josh, Kevin, Debbie, Shanell, Theresa, Cheryl, and Hannah for amazing hospitality for the fourth year in a row. My son’s robotics team and our families love visiting your hotel as you treat us as if we are family. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Comfortable room and bed

Location convenient to the AFB and easy access from freeway. Room was a little smaller in size than other HW suites we've stayed in, however, everything was clean and comfortable. It was a cold morning and we did have to walk outside of our building to the breakfast area - not a far walk, but be prepared. Pool and surrounding areas looked nice for a stay over the summer. Great staff, but rooms need a bit of love

The staff that we interacted with while we were there were fantastic. The room itself was nicely appointed, albeit a bit smaller than the suite we had stayed in at another Homewood Suites. The bed was firm, but comfortable and the blackout curtains did the job fabulously. There seemed to be a bit of dirt/water damage/mildew on the bathroom ceiling and we noticed that a couple of the tiles around the baseboard were missing. Our room was on the first floor and was right next to the door leading outside, which was what we were given upon check-in. I highly suggest not getting a room in that location, since one night a hotel guest went out the door to smoke and the smoke smell seeped into our room (it smelled awful). We ended up putting a towel down on the floor against the bottom of the door to try and keep the smell from getting worse. Since there were parking spaces right outside of our room, we were woken up anytime anyone would set their car alarm/lock as well. The other annoyance was that the guests that had the room above us walked very loudly both late in the evening and early in the morning. We would consider staying here again, but would definitely request a top floor room for this reason. The lobby area is lovely...warm and homey with a nice fireplace. It looks like the area they have breakfast (and evening meals during weekday evenings) is very nice and comfortable, but we didn't have breakfast there during our stay (and we were there over the 3 day weekend, so we didn't have an evening meal there either). Other than my previous "complaints", I have to say the room was very clean and the small kitchenette was quite nice. The staff, as I said before, was amazing & we thought it was pretty neat to come in and find a cute little "heart" on our bed that they had left made out of hand towels. Location is great. Right across from Wright State University and close to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and a variety of restaurants and shops. Basically, to sum up...nice hotel, but don't get a first floor room...especially next to the exit door. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
