Corporate Training is Needed

Mar 2nd, 2020

The actual hotel property is very nice. Really cute little downtown district with a Publix across the street. There is construction at the adjacent hospital, but it doesn't impede traffic or your ability to get around to other shops and restaurants. My issue is with the staff at this hotel. We are FAR beyond a days worth of training. These kids need the corporate training that is available for each job that is performed. For example, front desk needs extensive training on how to access the hotel from the parking garage, and hotel policies regarding check-in/out procedures, etc. When I arrived, there were 3 people in the lobby, who had been circling the hotel on foot attempting to figure out how to enter from the parking deck. The young lady's response was "I'm new here". I actually asked a guy on the street who I wanted to tip for telling me, so here it is just in case she's on duty when you arrive. If you're able, park in front of the hotel and with your key you'll be able to access the elevators on the second floor of the parking garage. Take the elevator to the ground floor, out the double doors, and the hotel is right in front...maybe 50 feet. Additionally, the parking is free, but the automated arm will attempt to charge you $2/day. If you pay, it'll keep your ticket and you'll need it. Once you've parked, take your orange ticket to the front desk to have it validated. I hope this helps!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. Walk to spring park. Full kitchen. Embassy is my 1st choice for short trips, but booked. This hotel comes in 1st for long stays, 2nd for short. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Front desk supervisor rude and unprofessional

Feb 23rd, 2020

I’m a pretty forgiving person. I’ve worked with middle schoolers for 16 years. We all have bad days. I had to speak with the same guy on three occasions and he was rude and unprofessional every single time. My van was hit in the parking garage, where hotel guest are told to park. No even a, sorry that happened. He just goes on a tirade about how that aren’t liable or responsible. I was just asking if there were cameras, so I knew before I contacted the police. First he says no, then he doesn’t know and carried on telling me how the hotel wasn’t liable. I never complained or asked the hotel for a thing. I just asked a simple question. He was also rude and unhelpful in my other encounters. He shouldn’t be working a front desk or anywhere in customer service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

comfortable rooms and great location

Feb 16th, 2020

This hotel is near the hospital and shares a parking garage with Publix and several places to eat. easily accessed and has a great breakfast. A social hour M-Th serves enough food so you don't really have to eat out those nights! Friendly staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
