Oddball Homewood Suites

Mar 23rd, 2020

The Homewood Suites in Jackson is on a side street and obviously didn’t start out as a Homewood Suites. It is in an old, ramshackle building. Quirky place, wood, three stories and sort of rustic and not much like most of these places we’ve stayed. An old building, narrow hallways and a funky elevator. Very friendly receptionist. Parking in back under a drive through with handicapped spots (2) right by the back door to the lobby. They had a light dinner out when we arrived; chili and not a whole lot else, but it was included. The room itself was nice but dated and a little shabby, but pretty clean as hotels go. In fact I would say it was cozy. All in all an OK place, at least the room (a single bedroom) was spacious, as we have essentially two full rooms and a full kitchen. Yes, I would stay here again – but it certainly an atypical Homewood Suites TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Good

Mar 17th, 2020

Arrived on March 8 and stayed 4 nights. Property was very clean. Room comfortable, breakfast room was clean and attended to. Great location to downtown. The only reason I could give a 5 is that I found people, including one employee smoking outside, but at rear entrance to the property. When passing through, you had to wade through their smoke. I had trouble hooking to wifi, but I overcame that. Had my own hotspot. Other that than I would stay here again and recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Almost like home

Mar 14th, 2020

We booked a last minute deal and were very pleased with our room. For 2 people there was plenty of room to put all our luggage. A 3rd person with gear and using the sleeper sofa would have made it tight, though. We had a suite with a king bed, and although the bedroom was small, there was sufficient room to walk around the bed on both sides. The bed area had plenty of electric and USB outlets on both sides, and the entire suite had a lot of electric outlets for all our devices. The fireplace was a nice touch although the flames were barely visible. And most importantly, it was very quiet! It was great to have an elevator and we enjoyed the 24 hour tea station with high quality tea selections. Another unexpected plus was the free light dinner Monday - Thursday. We were not impressed with breakfast although there was hot (but it was not) food and fresh fruit but we were able to cook our own gluten-free, sugar-free pancakes in our room. The small kitchen had everything needed to prepare and eat most meals. We did not use the ski shuttle but it only runs once a day, holds 11 people and you need to reserve a seat in advance. We drove ourselves and parked in the Stilson lot where you can catch any bus going to the ski area for free. There was plenty of parking in the back of the hotel, although it did not appear that the hotel was full. The person who checked us in was very friendly, caring and helpful! Overall this was one of the nicer places we stayed on a 3-week ski trip to North America and Canada. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stay in Jackson Hole

Mar 13th, 2020

This is a great hotel within easy walking distance to the center of town. Nice rooms; good breakfast and light dinner; warm cookies; and free shuttle to/from Jackson Hole Resort. The staff is very friendly, efficient and professional. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly Faces

Mar 10th, 2020

The unit we stayed in was a little smaller than most of the suites we book but this is a smaller than average Homewood Suites. I think I was told that they only have around 41 rooms. The place was clean, the location was great and all the staff members were warm and friendly as well as informative. I don't think we have ever stayed in any place where all the staff members had smiling faces until now. Although there is an additional fee, this place is dog friendly which was convenient for us. The breakfasts each morning had a good selection and they put also put out baked cookies every afternoon. We had a compact kitchen with a fridge, small dishwasher, a cooktop and microwave making it easy to prepare a meal for nights you want to stay in. They also had a washer and dryer unit available on our floor so we could keep up to date with our laundry. We would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
