Good stay but very noisy room

This is more due to their location and the room I got right next to the highway but you hear cars whizzing by all day and night and it's pretty loud if you don't have any background sound or music playing. It did somewhat keep me up at night and I also didn't feel like asking for another room for various reasons. Otherwise it would've been a nice stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel seemed clean and supposedly has Hilton's SafeClean policy of regular sanitizing of all the major areas and your rooms but who really knows? It did seem pretty clean though and guests were adhering to the max 3 people in the elevators and patiently waiting for the next elevator. Grab and go breakfast is included. From what I read, their breakfast was a lot better pre-COVID but I can't blame them since every hotel has gone away from the buffet style breakfasts. The suite had a kitchenette and was spacious. There was a separate bath room from the vanity/sink. The king bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. Wifi was good around the hotel. I also used their fitness center and if you like to lift weights, they have a decent selection. The prices were good for the area. We will be visiting here more since my daughter just started as a freshman at WashU but if I do stay here again, it will have to be a room opposite the highway. Otherwise I would stay somewhere else. The staff was AMAZING!

The staff was AMAZING! They went above and beyond what was expected and gave my daughter a comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience while she was there. I can’t thank them enough for helping to make that happen for her! Awesome place! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Aug 2020 - stay somewhere else.

It’s the little things. The pill I found when I moved the foot rest. The problematic AC / thermostat. The front door that sticks and is difficult to open/close. The dirty corners of tubs. The 1970’s brown plush foot rest. The ice bucket with the top torn off. The yellowing telephone paper. The park at your own risk parking lot. Something is wrong about this place. Stay somewhere else. Great customer service, but worn down and short staffed

This is our 3rd time staying here, the customer service is great, every one at the front desk is friendly. Normally this hotel is very very very clean, our room was pretty clean, but on need of sprucing up, closet door broken, bathtub drain broken, and some of the furniture could be replaced. The common areas, like the 9th and 10th floor hallways, elevators, and lobby could use some vacuuming and carpet shampooing, it wasn't up to THIS hotel's normal standards. I checked on the Hilton app to see if pool was open and if there was got breakfast. The app said open but limited. The pool was closed and breakfast was a grab and go with water, a orange, and granola thins. So please make sure your info is up to date on the Hilton app. I wonder if they are extremely short staffed and that is why it wasn't as clean as normal. I would stay here again and give them another chance, because I know this is normally a really nice hotel. Probably would wait a few months to a year though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fool me once...

Couple things jumped out about this hotel stay that I felt I needed to share: - Staff does not fully practice wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic as their signs suggest is mandatory - Room cleanliness needs improvement. Floors were sticky, there was hair in the tub, toilet drained slow which maintenence did fix, A/C is loud and wasn't tracking to thermostat, and most of all, the bedroom mattress was terribly hard. I should have checked to see if it was a serta dream mattress as the website suggested. If bet money that it was not based on 5 nights of tossing and turning. - Wasn't expecting to see police cars there 1 night and a security guard there the following nights followed with a sign that suggested something happened. Long story short. You couldn't pay me to stay there again and I'm a Hilton guy.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
