Two night stay

The hotel had a small convenience store and a bar in the lobby, but nothing else. I like to get a coffee in the morning and could not do that unless I wanted to walk to the casino which was a completely different building. The elevators were very slow. The room was clean. The employees were nice. The most upsetting thing for me is that there is a $19.99 fee per night that I was not told about. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dirty and Poorly Run

We stayed for three nights recently for a conference. The hotel is dirty - the entrance door was dirty and full of hand prints (when was the last time it was cleaned?), trash in the entrance, the elevators had trash in them and sticky spilled drinks on the floor, the doors into the swimming pool were filthy, the carpet on the 4th floor hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, tried to use the fitness center twice my room card couldn't open the door and the front desk was clueless as to what the problem was even reprogrammed my room key with no luck, one room had three dirty towels laying on the floor outside the room for days. After the first night when we returned from the conference we had to call at 5 PM to have housekeeping clean our room. How is this acceptable for guests? The hotel is poorly run as it took four of us almost an hour to check in with only one person working to check guests in and that you don't notice how dirty the hotel is. The rooms need to be remodeled as the bathroom is outdated and small for the size of the room. We made the mistake of not booking a room for the conference earlier and were stuck with this hotel. The room price wasn't cheap and I could never recommend anyone staying here. Please find another hotel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NEVER AGAIN!

We stayed here last night and woke up this morning to our rear car window smashed out. The lot for the hotel has a security guard shack, which in the past was occupied. Didn't see anyone in it for the 24 hour period we were there. We found out that quite a few cars were broken into that night, which I find highly unlikely had someone been in the parking lot for security. There is no way with as many cars that were damaged, that if someone were out there they could have missed this happening, seeing that it was in two different parking lots there. The casino security guy showed up, after we stood in the lot for 25 minutes waiting for him. He acted like we were bothering him for calling him over. At the end of our conversation he forced out an I'm sorry. We have stayed here before with no incident and I know this can happen anywhere (especially in St. Louis). It was a very expensive night and it will be our last staying here. It's always been a bit scary parking there. The stupidest thing of all is that we had NOTHING of value in the car. They took some old cd's. I did tell them I would not pay the resort fee as the stay cost enough as it was. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stay Away

Very disappointed. We specifically picked this hotel because it was close to arch and had a pool. We found out that when we paid extra for pool passes that the pool was closed for cleaning. When I asked for refund the next morning when the pool was still closed, they said no refund because it was a health issue. I think we all know that the hotel could refund if they cared about customer satisfaction. Parking also costs extra. One elevator was not working. The other smelled of smoke and was dirty and wet. The window with a view had gunk on the outside. The pillows were awful and one of cases had smudges. Behind the side table, there were used tissues. Also, we had to pay $50 room deposit. I am hoping that is credited to my account. All in all, the only good thing about the hotel was the shower. Bang for buck, this is NOT a hotel I would ever choose again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awful hotel/service

Hands down the worst stay I’ve had at a hotel. Dirty room. Horrible service, the front desk doesn’t care about the customers. Management doesn’t even attempt to pretend to care. If at all possible I would avoid this place TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
