Great customer service

Feb 16th, 2020

To be fully honest, we didn't actually stay at the hotel as planned. I wanted to give Hotel Abrego top marks for their customer service, and dealing with our family in an honest and very reasonable way. I appreciate really good customer service, and this establishment embodies the personal nature of "keeping the customer happy". TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice & quiet

Quick service, but slightly humid/smelly room (ground floor). Good size room, OK parking. Short walk to restaurants etc at the harbour. No USB charger outlets. Significantly higher prøve showing up without booking that though online services... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Convenient, comfortable, etc

Jan 21st, 2020

Conveniently located, free parking and friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and..well.. Got an upgrade to a room with a fireplace. Nice touch, I guess. Bathroom was nice but more modern and designy than useful. Won't complain too much though, everything worked as it should. Comfortable beds, etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Service, great location

Jan 10th, 2020

I had a great experience at this hotel. I was upgraded to a king size bed with fireplace when I arrived instead of queen bed. When I noticed I didn't have a tub in room, I was disappointed ( I had hiked 13 miles that afternoon, and was looking forward to a soak.) When I inquired about getting a room with a tub, and I would gladly pay extra, I was immediately moved without a fuss. The room was clean, the fireplace blows hot ( I was expecting just for looks kinda thing.) and the area was great. Within a 13 minute walk of fisherman wharf, but all along the way you had your choice of restaurants and bars to choose from. Oh yea, the bartender was super cool, although I did wish they actually served beers from a tap. I highly recommend, and would return again in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disaster rectified

Jan 8th, 2020

My wife is handicapped which I marked on the hotel check in paperwork. We were, nonetheless, assigned a room down a long flight of stairs (no elevators in this section of the hotel). The key cards didn’t work so after getting down the stairs my wife had to wait in the cold as I walked back to the front desk. I approached the front desk and said the keys didn’t work and was told I would have to wait until she was finished with other people in line. When provided new keys only one of them worked but at least we were out of the cold. The room, 3109, is adjacent to the area of the hotels garbage container. At 4:30 am the garbage was picked up waking us both. If once out of bed I wrote a very negative review on Booking.com who I used to make the reservation. At checkout the Front Desk manager asked to speak to me having received my review. She was very nice and apologized for our experience. She said we would not be charged and hoped we would stay with them in the future. Based upon her actions and frank apology we will stay there in the future but will not again stay in 3109.
