Great place, good cocktails and fantastic service

Jan 20th, 2020

Stopped by here and had cocktails for my birthday. Would recommend the Sherry Mojitos! The service is great and the ambiance is really cool so I'd definitely recommend a visit here if in Seville. Great central location too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Hotel

Jan 20th, 2020

A beautiful hotel in a great location. The breakfast buffet was diverse, the staff very helpful and dinner in the restaurant was great. The gym is a bit small but has most equipment you’ll need unless you lift heavy weights. Only a couple hundred meters to the river and a nice path to run on. The crowds of tourists stopping just to take a look and the flamenco show crowds got a bit annoying, but the hotel did a reasonable job of managing the traffic. Overall we loved our stay. Christmas stay

Jan 19th, 2020

Of course we love this hotel, we got married here in 2015 and since then go back for Christmas or summer sometimes on our own or with family. Unfortunately I’ve to highlight some faults. It goes without saying that breakfast is lavish, the hotel interior moorish and grand and the bed extremely comfy. The negatives, the patio charged us twice for the same meal, the first time saying it didn’t go through on the card (was sorted out the following day but delayed check out by about 30 minutes). As we got married in the hotel there has always been either an upgrade, flowers in the room or cava. But this time nothing. In all our rooms at Christmas for the last 3 yrs local Christmas biscuits made by the nuns and wine was left in the room on turn down service Christmas Eve together with a Christmas card. Not this year. Again like last year on Christmas Eve Ena was closed and that’s part of the hotel which limits choice. Turn down service was poor. It was done very late in the evening. One night after 10pm so we were back in the room. The lady just handed us water when we opened the door - what about fresh towels or more shower gel for showers after the gym. Just not good enough! Service around the hotel is very much a hit and a miss. The seem understaffed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Moorish Magic

Jan 13th, 2020

Stayed for 3 nights recently This enormous hotel is a local landmark. Built round a courtyard, it is incredibly richly decorated in the Arabic taste, with fine glazed tiles and hand-carved plaster ceilings. It all puts the buildings in the nearbly UNESCO world heritage site, such as the Alcazar and the cathedral quite in the shade. A mix of Hearst Castle in California, the Pera Palas in Istanbul, and the Mamounia Palace in Marrakesh is the best description.. It featured as a set for the club in Damascus in Lawrence of Arabia. Jack Hawkins would certainly have no difficulty finding his way around now as it is basically unchanged over the years, though completely refurbished. The rooms are luxurious, the restaurant offers fine cuisine, and the cocktail bar is the best in the world as far as I am concerned. Great mixing and plenty of authority in the resulting drinks. The staff are charming, and helpful. The hotel is ideally located for the sights of the city, and there is parking. A real experience-not to be missed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
