FABULOUS STAY.....even during a pandemic.

May 26th, 2020

LOVE this hotel. We drove from Phoenix to this site en route to Milwaukee. I needed a pet friendly hotel for the 90 pound German Shepherd we adopted that very morning. Everyone was so nice and so accomodating. The hotel is beautiful. I would actually like to come back to enjoy the amenities when it is again safe to do so. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The vibe is Cuban chic. The room service was utterly delicious. This is a fabulous property. Could not have been happier. Girls Weekend Getaway!

Wonderful hotel- great music on Friday and Saturday! Tapas bar was great and a nice selection of wine as well. I really enjoyed the reverse osmosis water. Next time I will bring something larger to keep ore in my room. Found out after the fact they would give you a pitcher to use. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Historical hotel with unique character

Mar 12th, 2020

Instead of staying at the old town, we chose this Hilton brand hotel. We were able to check into our room earlier. Our original room was 608, a smaller queen bed room. After being in the room for 5 min, I received a text message from the front desk and asked if I was satisfied with the room. I replied, "Our room is in good condition, but we wish our upgrade request could be granted." The front desk responded, "Will check on it and get back to you shortly." Surprisingly, we got a free upgrade and were moved to a much bigger king bed corner room (614)!! This hotel is a green hotel, so it took us a while to get used to the concept (reusable water pouch, no ice bucket, no coffee pot). As compared to another historical hotel, Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, I liked this hotel better- full of history (furniture, doorway, elevator, fountain,...) with adequate updates. Although there is no in-room coffee pot, complementary coffee is served daily in the morning in the library. Generally speaking their service was great. The only area that needed improvement would be housekeeping. Replenishment of Kleenex and water glass (for a broken glass) was not done well. This is a charming hotel for sure. We were impressed by this Hilton Curio hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Poor experience for the money

Mar 9th, 2020

My wife and I stayed there this past weekend. The staff was very friendly. Room wasn't to expected cleanliness standards for price and several things didn't function properly. First time staying in this area and we didn't feel safe in the local area, as well as for my vehicle in the open lot behind the hotel that I paid valet for. We stayed in a king bed suite with the couch sitting area. For the price paid, we were disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful stay. Beautiful historic/modern hotel.

Room was great...spacious and great furnishings. The bar on second floor has great happy hour and amazing bar staff when we were there. Lovely historic but modernly furnished hotel. One block from convention center....could see it and the Sandias from our room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
