Excellent for a 3 star, great value for the price

Excellent location next to Duomo, Navigli, Brera. My room was small but very functional, furniture new, very clean, including safe, minibar, space for trolley. Bathroom also small but everything working well. Breakfast is very good - everything is fresh and there is a good choice (YMMV - this opinion is based on Italian taste) Staff is friendly - a special mention goes to the gentleman organizing breakfast for his capability to smile and chat with guests in the early morning. Not coming back to this hotel!

Oct 31st, 2019

Let me start off by saying that the location of this hotel is excellent. It is within walking distance of the Duomo and some excellent food and shopping. The previous review regarding the Air Conditioning was spot on. The A/C was off although it looked like it could be controlled, and opening the window was impossible due to the noise outside. It was in the 50’s outside but you still need the airflow. We were told it was a law about shutting off the air, but that’s unacceptable. The bathroom was clean but there is no possible way to take a shower without getting the floor soaked. The (door) was useless in stopping the water from spraying all over the place. Noise level in the room was horrible, everything that happened in the hallways was heard as well as mysterious water sounds in the walls. The bed was too firm and the pillows as well, probably would have been acceptable if the room wasn’t so hot and unbearable. Front staff was not very friendly and seemed to not care for their customers. The was no acknowledgement from the staff when coming and going through the very small lobby. The breakfast was the only good thing here. The coffee was excellent and the variety of foods and pastries was good. Overall, I will look for a different place the next time I come to Milan. Extremely noisy, warm and stuffy because no AC

Oct 30th, 2019

Hotel did not allow the use of air conditioning, the rationale is that October is considered winter season, but this was not communicated clearly in hotel description. Temperature does get cooler in Oct but the room is still rather warm and stuffy. When I called reception to enquire about this the attitude was quite curt, telling us we could either switch on the heater or open the window. Let me emphasize that opening the window is absolutely NOT an option because it’s extremely noisy outside - it is a shopping street with trams operating from 6am to 1am late at night, so it was impossible to sleep at all. We were also all bitten by mosquitoes. The next night we tried closing the windows but it was also too stuffy to sleep. Overall we barely slept at all in the two nights’ stay. I would not recommend staying here. The only saving grace here was perhaps the breakfast - decent spread with Prosecco. The breakfast staff was also the only friendly staff who greeted guests. Close proximity to sightseeing spots!

Oct 6th, 2019

This hotel is about 10-15 min walk from the sightseeing spots like the Milan cathedral, galleria, Porta Ticinese; and similar distance to the Cadirna station - that you can use to arrive / depart for the Milan Malpensa airport. The hotel is on the main road yet no disturbance in the hotel rooms. You might hear/sense the teams going past though. The lifts/elevators are 5-6 steps below the checkin desk, but the hotel serves you to get your luggage across, so it’s not a concern. Breakfast is good. There’s a bar. Staff is courteous. Room was very neat and clean and reasonably spacious. Bathroom was quite small - but that is most of them are nowadays. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
