Too much noise

I take advantage of the confinement to resume writing my comments on trip advisor, we came to stay at the Majestic hotel in Cannes, We were a little disappointed on our arrival that our room was not ready, we thought we had a beautiful view of the sea but this was not the case, the hotel was full and it was impossible to use the swimming pool which was too small compared to the large number of customers, we didn t even manage to get a table at the bar, the beach was even worse with too much noise, it was a disappointment compared to the price paid TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My family and I have been visiting The Majestic for many years and have always enjoyed the impeccable service at Fouquet’s and the pool bar! As we own a villa in Mougins, we’ve never had a good reason to stay as overnight guests. We decided last weekend to have a staycation in Cannes, but after reviewing the online reviews we were surprised to read so many varying grades in regard to service, accommodations and overall experience. Nevertheless, we decided to book for the weekend. First and foremost, any negative comments are completely unwarranted! I’m not sure what kind of drugs the guests had taken to not realize that this hotel deserves only 5 star plus reviews! At check in, Julie at the reception was extremely welcoming, informative and efficient. Her smile and energy set the pace for our stay. Upon proceeding to our room we noticed as always before that the public spaces are not only gorgeous but immaculate! Once we entered our room, we were totally blown away. The size and sea front location along with all the amenities you can imagine, genuinely impressed us. The room was just beautiful, well appointed and immaculate as well. We could not find fault in any department. We dined at Fouquet’s for breakfast and lunch and again the service was always kind and efficient. Élodie along with one of our servers were both equally kind, efficient and very hospitable! The food as always was impeccable as was the entire staff. Upon deciding to go out for dinner, we were well guided by Eric, the concierge. He suggested we go to La Môme in the center of Cannes. It took him exactly 30 seconds to contact the owner of this very popular restaurant. It is usually quite difficult to reserve a table, but not for Eric. He also helped us tremendously during the entire weekend and fulfilled all requests surprisingly fast! Thank you Eric! You are the best! We enjoyed ourselves so thoroughly that we plan to make The Majestic our weekend retreat. There is not one thing we could find to dislike during our entire stay! Upon checking out were greeted by Aina whom genuinely wanted to ensure that our stay was pleasant and up to our standards. She is sunshine personified as are all the staff members at The Majestic! 10 armchairs by the pool and also 10 armchairs near the bar, i.e. 20 seats in total for a full hotal welcoming more than 200 people, reservations prohibited but only for certain regular customers but not for us, the beach is not better, we had 2 armchairs far from the sea, we had asked that the next day we could be closer to the sea but impossible because full, inadmissible TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Luxury on the Beach

The most relaxing place to go to in Cannes on the beach, the service is splendind as well as the food and drinks. Prices are not that bad for the resort, you definitely get what you paid for. I would definitely recommend as a beach resort. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor Service and Dogs in the Restaurant

On arrival our room was ready but the window shutter was broken. We agreed to change room which was nice but over the swimming pool area. There was a band and loud music playing until late which was not good and kept us awake. The next day we moved back to our original room after 3 hours of shutter repairs. Room service was very hit and miss. We returned from the beach at 4pm to find no service in our room and towels still wet from our morning shower. Evening turn down also very poor. Breakfast was OK but service very slow but do we really need dogs in the restaurant especially when sitting on the chair with paws on the table, this is disgusting. We have visited this hotel every year for the past 6 years and twice this year. Next year it will be time for a change. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
