Great experience in this hotel. We actually visited this hotel to make our reservation since we were in the area. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. They showed us different rooms and let us choose. They also did a better price than the one on booking platforms. The room we got was clean and very comfortable. They have a good selection of food for breakfast. After We traveled to L.A. and then back to San Francisco to get your flight home and ended up staying there a second time. The reception staff kept offering tips for places to see and answering our questions about the city. If we come back to S.F., we’ll try to stay there again! I totally recommend it. The hotel itself was lovely, small but comfortable. Staff were helpful. The hotel was 100m away from the nearest tram stop which was a bonus! No complaints in regards to the hotel however the location was the only downside. The hotel was situated at the edge of the tenderloin district which is known for being full of homeless people. Absolutely no problems by day. However by night a lot of drug users and homeless people seem to gather nearby and made us feel very unsafe! Although not on any occasion did anyone approach us, they kept themselves to themselves. Overall I would have stayed in a hotel closer to the coast.. i.e Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf. I would rate the hotel 3/5. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

All I can say is the hotel is clean & the staff friendly. The room was small & hot Aircon non existent so you have to open the window, homeless shout & fight until 5am & even with the earplugs provided you will not sleep & we were on the top floor! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Absolutely honest review

**honest review** I am a trip advisor fanatic, I always look at the reviews to make my decisions on places before hand. After seeing a deal on British airways that included hotel and flights for an absolute steal I decided to go for it it was the one time I didn’t look at trip advisor as I wanted to see Alcatraz really bad. After booking which was a non refundable room rate I looked at trip advisor and seen all the bad reviews about hotel and homelessness. I started to worry so I messaged the hotel which the manager Blanca got back to me almost immediately she was brilliant at putting me at ease with everything that I was concerned about. I messaged Blanca over a few weeks about different things and I can’t say she was anything other then brilliant. On arrival we used an Uber to get to the hotel. The hotel is gorgeous, and Blanca had arranged to put us in a room at the back 412. 9-5 room to ease quietness from the road. The room was big and had everything we needed. They don’t have t and coffee in the room but everything is down stairs if u need t, coffee, water, pretzels. The room had shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, mouth wash. Was great. bed really nice and big. Everything was great. **location** Right down to location. It’s about a 1.5 mile walk to ferry terminal and I’d say 45 min walk to pier 39 with some hills say hills huge hills. The hotel is on a corner, yes there are home less people. Round the corner to the right is a lot of homeless people. U do see them doing a lot of crack and smoking weed. But in all honesty they do not bother you at all. There is one or two out side hotel sleeping but not masses like I thought from the reviews described. The police are every where moving them. Honestly they are no hassle I did get one ask me for my subway and one wanted to suck my blood in exchange for crack???? You litrally just ignore them and move on, they are everywhere in San Fran unfortunately. This is no fault of the hotels at all tho, and they keep the doors locked at all time’s with a key card to get in and out so the hotel is completely safe. I would give this hotel 5/5 stars I’m letting location do to homelessness bring it down it is the tenderloin after all which is ment to be the worse place to stay in respect of homelessness and drugs.
