A Boulder Classic. Front desk is odd

I stayed at the Boulderado every month in the 90s, but hadn't been back in 20 years until last week. It is still charming and a great location, but it lacks some of the old energy. Maybe a function of Covid. One negative comment that I would make, is that they moved the reception from its historic and appropriate location to an odd modern side lobby off the front door. A big mistake in my opinion, as it is less functional and is a jarring entrance to a lovely property. So, historic, a bit dated, but a great place to stay if you like a more charming feel and a central location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Old beautiful historic hotel within walking distance of every thing. The wood staircase was a masterpiece. The coffee in the room was sub par. The coffee which we paid for in the coffee shop was either burnt or had too much milk, but never tasted right. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Exceeded expectations

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Boulderado and thoroughly enjoyed it! The location is perfect for exploring Pearl Street. We had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed drinks afterwards in the lobby, and we loved the happening vibe pulsing through the hotel on a Friday night. Also loved the Old Fashioned cocktails! The interior of the hotel is unique and it feels like a throw back to an older era. We stayed in a room in the newer wing and it was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Boulder. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent!! Everything was perferct, nice old hotel from 1909, close to Pearl Street with lots of stores, bars and restaurants. Great service. We all enjoyed our stay on this family skiing trip, we stayed there for 1 night after being at Vail Colorado TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

New tradition

What a wonderful getaway! After visiting the Boulderado hotel for the first time at Christmas, we have decided to make our stay there an annual tradition in December. It is well located as it is just one block from Pearl Street where all of the shopping is at. There was lots of on street parking so we were able to save on valet parking. The room was a corner suite on the fifth floor. It had a great view of the Flatirons. We especially loved staying in the historic part of the hotel, which we asked with an original elevator from 1909. The best part about visiting at Christmas was that we got to admire the very real and gigantic Christmas tree in the lobby. Outstanding!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
