Clean and safe but not a boutique hotel
Feb 5th, 2020
We stayed here for 5 nights. It was clean and felt safe, and although not in the centre was a short walk into town so a convenient location. We were quite disappointed, as this is certainly not a boutique hotel. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are awkward and do not have proper bathroom doors so afford no privacy and the rooms have no insulation or soundproofing. The hotel is located on a main road and beside a school so is very noisy. Our room was located on the main level by the common area so if anyone was out there talking, yelling at each other or moving tables, it was like they were doing so in our room. There are no amenities included without charge (coffee available in the room but for a fee etc) and there isn’t really any comfortable common space (some small chairs and tables in the courtyard) to spend time or relax. We thought about moving to another hotel but our trip was pre-paid, so we stuck it out and just spent very little time there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel was spotlessly clean, quiet, and beautifully landscaped--little off the beaten path, but easy to get to the central tourist area and to access other neighborhoods. BUT the very best was the staff. Every employee treated us like we were the most important travelers they had ever encountered, and when we left after a week's stay, we felt like all of them were members of our family--the receptionists, our waitress in the restaurant, the maid who cleaned our room daily. A truly special place. I definitely hope to return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel was a great home base for exploring Oaxaca CIty. It was clean, located in a great walkable neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, and the staff was always pleasant and very helpful. We will be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Cozy clean and quiet

This boutique hotel is off the city center but well within walking distance from Oaxaca's best sites (Santo Domingo, zocalo, markets). The service is excellent, the rooms are a bit tight but fine and clean. Rooms surround a very nice and quiet courtyard garden. Some of the design features were done by Francisco Toledo. No meal service except for breakfast was available, better to eat elsewhere. Public transportation easily available to downtown TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location, Well appointed, very cute hotel with court garden, lots of flowers and trees, and more importantly very friendly and welcoming staff especially Leonardo who served us Breakfast (Delicious, Try the Oaxacan Hot Chocolate and the Freshly Made to Order Green Juice!) - Leonardo also went above and beyond as my Fiance got a little sick to order medication to be dropped of for him and gave us extra tissues and water and recommendation for food deliveries - He also organized our very early taxi to go to the airport which was perfectly on time!Muchas Gracias para todo!
