Excelent place

Aug 9th, 2019

we stayed here with kids at age 12 and 7 and i must only recomend it! great sea view ,clean water, activities for kids and aduls day and evening very good. Stuf and food 10/10. We were here begining of august and it was very pleasant weather, nice wind and warm. we tried also aqua park which is ca5 km from hotel and it was cool for kids and also us! prices at park very Ok. we never did visit same hotel twice, but here we are strongly considering drinks are high quality, not just local and u dont pay for anything in hotel. food all day long huge buffee. not just snack bar. warm/cold/sweet food and ice-cream .... beach towels, water bikes, mini golf, or money safe also free. taxi to old city 20eur /way , but trip is great. Nice family hotel

Jul 13th, 2019

After staying recently at the Blue Sea Beach I was a bit worried about staying at another 4* hotel, as I don't believe the star ratings are correct. However I WOULD give the Calypso beach 4* and I would definitely stay there again. The common areas were always clean, the food is lovely - especially on 'speciality nights' Italian night was absolutely wonderful - SO much selection. The restaurant is calm and has plenty of tables, spaced nicely so that you don't disturb others when you go to get your food. There were plenty of sunbeds, round the pool and on the beach, and plenty of umbrellas too, which we needed as it was very hot! The location on the beach is lovely. The Cocktails (I rate my review on these!!) were very good, we tried ALL the bars in the hotel, and they were all good! Help yourself to Soda drinks which I think is excellent to avoid queuing. Down sides: Not many British stay here! Also the room was okay, bit dated, but clean and didn't really look like the picture (it looked a lot bigger!). Had clean towels every day. Also the Spa is nice. Overall a nice place! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A nice comeback to a great hotel

Jul 5th, 2019

The hotelroom are a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Look out if you ask seaside view. Most of them are rooms a the street side and i found it reasonable noisy at night. The hotel personnel is very friendly and the rooms are very clean. The animation is the hotel is great if you like animation. The beach and the beds there are of good quality. The restaurant food is great with lots of variation. The a la carte restaurant is a nice experience but you get a lot to eat. The cocktails are of good quality in the evening bar. Such a lovely place to spend our holiday. Perfect!

Jul 3rd, 2019

We booked this hotel after some investigation and have to say it exceeded our expectations and we had a fantastic time here. I couldn’t think of a better place to holiday at as it is perfect Booking in late at night was quick and easy and the man at reception was so helpful and friendly. We were given room 422 which was on the road side of the hotel. The road was a little noisy but this did not affect us. The room was large as it was just me and my wife and the only thing that possibly could have been better was more hangers in the wardrobes but we made do. Also we only found 1 plug but we always take an extension lead and 4 plugs so again no problem. Whilst the room was on the road side the advantage is the sun is on the balcony in the evening so good for drying clothes. Down to the important things and the position of the hotel could not be better. A 20-25 minute walk to the main town and right on the beach. Couldn’t ask for a better positioned hotel. The pool area was clean and tidy and there is plenty of room between the sunbeds. These are positioned in pairs with a small seat and a much needed sunshade. The pool itself is interestingly shaped rather than a rectangle so if you want to do some swimming you will need to dodge some people standing in it but it is lovely and well maintained. There is a slide for a bit of fun as well. The deep area is 6 foot but the rest of it is around 3 feet and there are steps down for kids. There is a separate children’s pool at the side of the hotel with some slides but we did not use this. The beach is fantastic and is straight off the pool area. Again plenty of sunbeds and shade for all users and the sea is just the clearest that you can imagine. There is a small bit of shingle on the edge but once past this the bottom is so sandy. Ideal for using a lilo and chilling. You can get drinks all day at the pool bar and also the snack bar and the staff are again friendly and helpful with also self service for your soft drinks. Foodwise this place is fantastic. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner has so much choice and it is so tasty. Freshly cooked omelettes are delicious in the morning and backed up with all your usual stuff. In the evening there is always so much to choose from that it is difficult to decide what you want. The food was always warm and plenty of it. It should be said as wall that the staff in the restaurant are so friendly and polite getting your drinks should you wish them too. In the daytime the downstairs snack bar is open and this again is lovely and plenty to choose from. The gyros is always a winner in my book. Also there is a small bar serving crepes during the day. Sometimes there is a queue but they are well worth trying during your stay. Also we did visit the A La Carte restaurant and had a lovely meal in there. In the evening there are plenty of places to sit down and chill out. The snack bar opens up as a bar and the main bar is open to 2am!! Both serve so much choice and with a smile which is great. There was never a time that I was waiting to be served for any real length. There is usually entertainment and whilst we did not see all of it we did catch a few shows and enjoyed them. The animation team work hard and whilst we didn’t join in with any of the games they always asked you and never seemed upset if you didn’t join in. We ate out a few times in Falaraki as we wanted to sample some of the local bars and Taverna’s and being only a short walk this was nice to get out. Also during the day we visited Kallithea Springs which is a must and only a short bus ride away (2 Euros each way) Lovely clear water and service by your sunbed. There is an entry fee of 3 Euros each but it is well worth it. All in all this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I could not fault it in any way. Having a free safe and also no wristbands on the AI was also a nice touch. I would happily go back to this hotel and recommend to anyone to visit here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
